Our house is really ideally located to explore this great area in the southern border of France. You can drive or walk or travel by train or bus - and have a very busy schedule for all members of your family, in all seasons of the year. But you may want just to relax with a glass of wine - there is everything necessary for such vacations too: a great view which you will admire 24 hours a day, cheap and excellent local wine, great food, a lot of sun and unspoiled nature. And the view from the BBQ area in our garden is superb. So just come!

Special Conditions
There will be nobody staying in the house at the same time with you. We do let for very short periods - from 2 nights but we'll have to charge 70 Euros to cover change-over fees.
We have special prices for couples in October-April: 380 Euros per week, 600 Euros for 2 weeks, 220 Euros for 3 nights.
Bed linen, towels, electricity, water and gas charge are included in the price.
If you don't want to clean before departure - our cleaners will do it for additional 50 Euros.

There is a perfect view of Pyrenees and also of the town of Prades since the house is standing up the hill overlooking the town.

• Perpignan Airport is within a 45 minute(s) drive.
• Transit: can be reached by driving for 10 minute(s). Type of transit is Train. There is a rail station in the town which is some 700 m from the house so you can get almost everywhere even without a car. Also a bus stop 800 m.
• Golf: can be reached by driving for 10 minute(s). There are 3 golf course(s) nearby.
• Ski lifts or Runs : can be reached by driving for 20 minute(s). There are 5-6 Pyrenean high quality ski resorts within a 40 km distance. The main resorts are at Font Romeu - Pyrenees 2000 (40 pistes, 52 km in total) and Les Angles (32 pistes, 40 km in total). A ski school and a family managed resort for beginners is in 15 km - in Col de Jau (called the smallest ski resort in Europe).
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by walking for 10 minute(s). There is a large range of bars and restaurants as well as shops, banks and ATMs in 600-700 m. 2 supermarkets within 5 min drive and 1 organic supermarket within 10 min walk, a McDonald's is within 1.5 km.

Pyrenees-Orientales is a beautiful region with a perfect climate and a lot of places to visit. Among them: Villefranche de Conflent, A medieval town with complete fortified walls. It is also the starting point for a ride on the Yellow Train. You can ride in open or closed top carriages admiring the breathtaking view. Abbeys at St Martin de Canigou and St Michel de Cuxa. The 1.3 km long path to St Michel starts almost from the gate of the house. By the way, St Michel de Cuxa is that very place where the heroine finally kills Dracula in the bestseller by E. Kostova “The Historian”. Tautavel Museum – the site of the oldest human in Europe. Natural reserve in Nyer - wild life of the Pyrenees preserved as it is. The Perfume Tower in Mosset can be reached in 15 minutes, the Solar Oven at Mont-Louis in 30 minutes by car. And also Perpignan with its Palace of the Kings of Majorca, Collioure with its Royal palace overlooking one of the most beautiful ports in France, Ceret with its Modern Arts museum are well worth visiting.
Payments and Policies
Payment Details
25% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 60 days in advance). A refundable security/damage deposit of 200 is required. If you cancel less than 60 days prior, there is a full refund. Discuss shorter periods with Owner.

Policies
• No smoking is allowed.
• Children are allowed. A Crib, High Chair and a Play Pen can be provided.
• Check in after 4:00 PM and check out before 12:00 PM. Check in/out times may be flexible upon request.
• Dogs and Cats are allowed but must be approved by the Owner. A deposit of 50 will apply.
• There is no specific quiet time policy, though guests are asked to be respectful of any neighbours.
• No Maid Service is provided during a stay. An optional Daily Maid Service is available for the following fee of 70.
• Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
