Typical example of a medieval Tuscan castle, dating back to the 12th century, erected by the architect Buondelmonti as a fortress to defend from feudal possession. Transformed into a country villa in 1520, with large decorated rooms and elegant loggias, the castle stands perched above a hill that dominates over the steep jagged hills of a green valley, in a panoramic position, in the heart of the Chianti Classico. Beautiful broad view of the hills. Peaceful position despite the fact that at the bottom of the valley passes the connection road between Florence and Siena. Exclusive equipped fenced-in lawn (400 m2) with a hexagon-shaped swimming pool (6x11, 3.5 m deep) (30/4-8/10). Varied furnishings: the lounges are furnished with period pieces, some of the bedrooms have original period pieces, the bedrooms on the mezzanine floor are very simple, the bathrooms are simple and functional, the kitchen is basic even if well equipped. The total surface area is 600 m2. It is possible to request up to 3 additional beds (1 double and 1 single) when booking, to be paid for on the spot (350 Euro/person/week). Parking. The booking is confirmed once signed documents have been faxed and 25% of the rental price (+ 28 Euros booking fee) has been paid. The remaining 75% of rental fee must be paid at least 42 days prior to arrival. If you cancel 75 or more days prior, payments less 15% of rental and 50 Euros are refunded.
