Paradise - Saturna Island Vacation Home
This piece of Paradise is situated on Saturna Island in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia with decks overlooking the scenic Strait of Georgia. Set on an acre of grounds, the home is a secluded natural paradise just a few minutes walk from beaches and whale watching at East Point Regional Park and a short drive to shopping, the winery, galleries, and the B.C. Ferry Dock. A great base for kayaking, walking, hiking, cycling, fishing, whale watching, or for just relaxing on the deck watching the deer.

The home sits in a clearing on a lovely wooded acre. Entertainment area, with bay view,  for movies and games. A woodstove, ceiling fan and sliding doors for a sea view. Looking from living area out to the barbeque deck and ocean. Fully equipped, modern kitchen with seating for 8. Master bedroom with French doors opening onto large deck.

    Master Bedroom
    1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2). Master bedroom is an en suite unit with large closets, chest of drawers, and night tables. Bay windows and French doors open onto spacious deck.
    Living Room
    1 Queen Hide-A-Bed/Sofa Bed (sleeps 2). As extra sleeping accommodations, the house has a very comfortable sofa bed in the living area. This is an additional charge, please see Specific Rental Conditions.
    Bathrooms
    Bathroom 1 has toilet, bathtub, shower and one basin.
    Bathroom 2 is an en suite and has toilet and one basin.

    From the living area and front deck there is a lovely view of large ships and sailboats in the Stait of Georgia and the snow-topped mountains of mainland Canada and USA. There is also a beautiful view of Tumbo Channel.

    This home has a total of three bedrooms (see ID 67163). This is for the rental of one of the three bedrooms. Guest will have exclusive use (other two bedrooms will be locked off). See ID 85774 for the rental of two of the three bedrooms.
    Distances
    • You may arrive on Saturna Island by B.C. Ferries, water-taxi, float plane or private boat. The ferries carry vehicles and reservations are mandatory on some routes. Always check with B.C. Ferries for schedule and reservation information. The ferry dock is approximately 12 miles from the vacation home. There is presently no taxi service on the island, but arrangements for transportation are possible with prior notice.
    • Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). Saturna Island has four dining establishments within a 20 minute drive from the house. We highly recommend the Saturna Cafe, located next to the Saturna General Store. The chef is a master of his art. The Bistro at the Saturna Vineyard is open during the summer season. Saturna Lodge offers fine dining. The Pub at the ferry dock offers casual lunches and dinners. There are two stores for shopping. The Saturna General Store is well-stocked and only 20 minutes from the house. The Pub and Store is located at the ferry dock.
    • Beach gradient is gradual for a short distance. Beach surface is sand and rocks. East Point Regional Park is a five minute walk from the house. Also, there is beach access just across the road from the house. The nearby beach has a swimming area, tidal pools and sandstone cliffs for whale viewing. The water in the protected harbor warms in the summer and is ideal for swimming, boating and kayaking.
    Payments and Policies
    Payment Details
    25% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 35 days in advance). A refundable security/damage deposit of 350 is required. If you cancel less than 7 days prior, there is no refund.
    If less than 1 week rental is approved and booked, please discuss payment with owner. Clearly any cancellations will affect us significantly; therefore we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. To obtain a full refund, we must receive notification of your cancellation more than fifteen days before your arrival. If notified within one to two weeks of your visit, we will charge 1/2 the cost of the rental. If notified less than one week in advance, regretfully we will have to charge the full cost.
    *Please note that the above policies relate to the Owner's portion only.
    Policies
    • No smoking is allowed.
    • Children are allowed.
    • Check in after 4:00 PM and check out before 10:00 AM.
    • No pets allowed (Except for Service Animals).
    • There is no specific quiet time policy, though guests are asked to be respectful of any neighbours.
    • No Maid Service is provided during a stay.
    • Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
