• Parking Provided: 4 Outdoor. There is plenty of very convenient parking, very nearby, that is unassigned, therefore no parking pass is required.
• Locked Storage Provided. There is a heated ski storage locker in the heated ski lock up room, located on the main level, just a few doors away from this unit. There is also a ski/board lock up located on the front porch of the unit. This allows for plenty of ski and board storage so equipment is NEVER brought into the unit at any time. Therefore a total of one full sized heated locker plus a lock up on the front porch make equipment storage a breeze. From the heated ski storage room you step directly outside across the driveway and onto the lift. Codes for all the locks on the heated locker, and ski lock up on the porch, are found in the unit inside the cupboard door over the coffee machine. Write them down on a piece of paper and carry them with you for easy access at any time. As well the lock code for the common area which includes the ski lock up room, hot tub, and bathroom are in the info package we will send you when full payment is received.

The kitchen in this condo is fully equipped to suit your needs. It comes with all the necessary utensils, cookware, and glassware, spices, as well as a blender, for your favourite cocktails. Large plastic glasses are provided for the hot tub. There is a crockpot and recipe book, and lots of cookware, bowls, a pasta pot and a toaster oven for baking small meals for just two.

Bed Summary

Master Bedroom

1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2). The master bedroom has a super high quality mattress and box spring, with a lovely Australian Sheepskin Wool duvet and extra blankets in the closet if you wish, two bedside tables with lamps, an alarm clock, and a full chest of drawers. The closet is double, and large, with lots of heavy duty hangers and hooks for hanging clothes. The draperies in this bedroom are blackout, along with mini blinds. It has it's own separate heat as well. The doors to the bedroom are pocket sliding doors and do not take up any space at all. Completely privatized and lockable.

Living Room

1 Twin Couch (sleeps 1). The high quality leather sofa is located in the living room, yet it is very private. The high quality leather cushions are as good as the bunk beds and truly quite comfortable. You'll find bedding and pillows in the master bedroom closet for this extra sleeping place for a sixth person. The draperies in the living room are black out along with mini blinds furnishing a very comfortable night's sleep for one.

Alcove

1 Double Lower Bunk Bed (sleeps 2) and 1 Single Upper Bunk Bed (sleeps 1). The alcove where you will find the double and single bunks, have cozy Australian Sheepskin Wool duvets on both beds, a large floor to ceiling drapery that privatizes the bedroom completely, a side table, bedside lamp, a large chest of drawers and a large closet with heavy duty hangers, and it's own heat control.

Bathrooms

Bathroom 1 has toilet, bathtub, shower, hair dryer and one basin.

View

The main view from the front windows is to the south, with lots of sun light and warmth. You are looking directly at the Silver Queen Chairlift and runs. This is a gorgeous view 24/7, and especially during night time skiing. You can also see Tubetown, and the top of the Knoll. There is a lovely view of the trees just bordering the XC trails. Sunsets are lovely. Tubetown, and the Skating pond, which are so close as well, are only a minute or two away, yet are just far enough removed to maintain your personal peace and quiet. To the top of the hill you can see the Knoll where some of the most charming Victorian homes are situated. This area makes for a nice stroll after dinner. This unit has a nice balcony for those warm days with a boot bench, and a couple lounge chairs, and with an electric BBQ as well! You can sit in the hot tub and watch people ski in.

More Information

Supplied: 2 sets of towels per person, 1 set of bed linens every 10 days - $35 each *additional* change. $60 each *additional* unit cleaning. Main floor was totally decorated in 2006, totally fashionably furnished and decorated. Absolute quiet and consideration for other owners and guests is imperative day and night. Deck with sunny exposure. A fire extinguisher is under the kitchen sink and another is on the wall by hot tub. CD's, DVD movies, games, cards, books, iron, and sewing kit as well! In summer from late June to early September there are wine tours, boating and rentals, on Lake Kalamalka or Okanagan, and mountain hiking and biking tours, with rentals available, and two ski lifts in full operation for serious mountain biking. Truly a wonderful experience if you have never rode up a lift with your bike and then biked down. A true rush!

Distances

• The drive from Kelowna airport is approximately 50 minutes or less. Half of the drive is from Kelowna airport to Vernon and the other half is up to the mountain resort. Basic instructions would be to take HWY 97 North directly out of the Kelowna airport, which is a right turn at the lights, proceed to Vernon and through the city, then look for Silver Star Road, just past Safeway and the Prestige Inn, taking a right turn there as well. This takes you to the resort and up the mountain, where you then look for Creekside condos and turn right there again and down into the common parking lot.
• Golf: can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). There are approximately 38 world class golf courses in the area, for those who want to enjoy Silver Star in the summer months. In the months of March and April and November you can ski AND golf on the same day. We are currently updating information on these courses and will include them in our Information Package located in the unit.
• Ski lifts or Runs : can be reached by walking for 5 minute(s). Ski in or out directly in front of this building, right from the ski storage locker room, you walk just across the driveway and right onto the lift. Use the Silver Queen lift directly in front of our unit to access the ski outs to the main high speed lifts and 107 world class runs. A new lift has been added this past year and we hear about 50 new runs. In the 2006/2007 season a new lift will replace the Mid Town T, adding even more mountain access to the fabulous runs. The lift is virtually less than a one minute stroll from the ski lock up room. Tubetown, skating, snowmobile and cross country trails are right out the front door.
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by walking for 5 minute(s). The walk to the village center, with several fine restaurants, shopping, Internet cafe, deli and grocery store, movie rentals, pubs, wine bars, ski servicing and rentals, and a realtor's office is minutes away. Lift tickets and trail maps can be purchased here as well. Lessons are booked and begin from the village center. There really is no requirement to drive anywhere in the village once you have arrived and are settled in. However there is a complimentary Resort Shuttle that goes from Creekside to the main village and runs about every twenty minutes and is free of charge. The lovely Victorian village, with everything you could need, is minutes away.
• Beach gradient is gradual for a short distance. Beach surface is fine sand. If you have a car the town of Vernon is only a 20 minute drive away, and beaches and lakes are very nearby. As well Kelowna is about a 40 minute drive and has many lakes, beaches, boating and recreational activities for summer. Small lakes scatter the area, namely Lake Okanagan, Lake Kalamalka, Wood and others, as well there are lovely beaches near Vernon at Lake Kalamalka and Kelowna. The lakes are freshwater, and some boating equipment rentals are available in summer.

Payments and Policies

Payment Details

50% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 30 days in advance). A refundable security/damage deposit of 500 is required. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to arrival, there is no refund unless re-rented.

PLEASE NOTE: You MUST make a payment to the owner, of 50% of the overall rental amount due, plus the damage/security deposit of $500, as soon as possible after you book, or 7 days from booking to make the booking firm, and the balance then of the remaining 50% still due, must be paid & received by us, 1 month prior to your arrival! If you choose to pay your full rental amount due, in 1 payment, to simplify payment, then that payment of the full rental amount due plus the security/damage deposit of $500 must STILL be made, and received, as soon as possible after you book or 7 days from making your booking, to hold the unit solid and firm.

Policies

• No smoking is allowed.
• Children are allowed but this unit is not suitable for persons under the age of 8.
• Check in after 4:00 PM and check out before 10:00 AM. Check in/out times may be flexible upon request.
• No pets allowed (Except for Service Animals).
• Guests are asked to be quiet between the times of 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
• No Maid Service is provided during a stay.
• Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
