- Shopping and Dining: can be reached by walking for 5 minute(s). A well stocked supermarket is just 5 minutes walk down the lane. The bus stop is on the main road. You will be able to get fresh vegetables and local produce from the busy nearby (1.5 km) town of Panza, which is also convenient for shopping, welcoming restaurants and bars. The villa is 6 km from the old town and port of Forio, with its daily market (including fresh fish) and smart boutiques, and 12 km from the bustling and elegant Ischia Porto.
Public transport on Ischia is excellent, frequent and cheap! However renting a car is undoubtedly more convenient and will spare guests the exercise of walking up the lane from the bus stop to get home!
- Because the villa has its own pool guests may be inclined not to venture any further for swimming. However there are many delightful beaches within easy reach, particularly Citara (and the Thermal Resort Poseidon), St Angelo, Maronti and the Sorgeto bay with its famous hot springs.
- Nearby Attractions: There are many spa resorts around the island offering pools at various temperatures, beauty & curative treatments. Additionally there is scuba diving, watersports, boat trips around the coast featuring caves & grottos, and excursions to the Amalfi coast. On the island do not miss the quaint fishing village of St. Angelo, the wonderful gardens of 'La Mortella', 'La Colombaia' the former home of renowned film director Luchino Visconti, the imposing Castello Aragonese dating from 474 BC and the Archeological museum. At the foot of our lane is the Casa d'Ambra winery including the Museum of Contadini (peasant farmers).
On the mainland, day-visits to the world famous Roman ruins of Herculaneum and Pompeii - devastated by the eruption of Vesuvius in AD79 - are not to be missed.
30% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 60 days in advance). A refundable security/damage deposit of 200 is required. If you cancel less than 60 days prior, payments (less 50%) are refunded if re-rented.
