Welcome to Lake Cowichan, our own bit of paradise. This beautiful property is tucked in the woods with a long driveway to insulate it from the road. There are neighbors to the right and a quiet rain forest provincial park on the left. We are right on the lake with a stunning view up the lake, gorgeous sunsets, a soft pebble beach with fire pit and a large dock. The water is crystal clear and initially shallow for children. A lovely natural garden with fish pond and hot tub over look the lake. We also have two large connected decks overlooking the water. Try hiking, boating, biking or golfing.

    Nothing compares to the stunning views from this property looking up the lake to the snow capped mountains beyond. The sunsets are stunning. The forest views from the side and back of the house are equally fabulous.

    • Golf: can be reached by driving for 20 minute(s). There are 2 golf course(s) nearby.
    • Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 10 minute(s). For dining there are good restaurants in Lake Cowichan, Duncan, Maple Bay, Genoa Bay and Cowichan bay. All between 5-60 minute drives. Shopping is limited. I recommend barbecuing on the deck or roasting hot dogs in the fire pit; there is nothing better.
    • The unit is Lake front. Beach gradient is gradual for a short distance. Beach surface is small pebbles. There is a dock. The dock is private. There is room for 2 boats. Swimming and snorkeling is great. Boating is wonderful and water skiing/ knee boarding are regular past times. There is usually a good wind in the afternoon for wind surfing or sailing. Beach Equipment: Canoe and Rentals Nearby.
    • Nearby Attractions: The rain forest is all around and the town of lake Cowichan just 5-10 minutes away on one side and Youbou on the other. We are 25 minutes from Duncan and the native heritage center, golf and the fabulous vineyards, winery tours, and artisan tours. Maple Bay and Cowichan Bay also have good scuba diving and boating. Victoria or Nanaimo are about 75 minutes away by car. Butchart Gardens is about 75 minutes as well. There are often local festivals in Lake Cowichan or the surrounding communities of Honeymoon Bay, Mesachie Lake, and Youbou.

    Payment Details
    The payment policy is flexible and can be worked out with the owner. There is no security/damage deposit required. If you cancel anytime, payments (less 1 nights rent) are refunded if the unit is re-rented.
    Owner accepts payments by: Personal Cheque - Money Order or Cashiers Cheque - Direct Bank Deposit - Cash - Western Union - Travelers Cheques

    Policies
    • No smoking is allowed.
    • Children are allowed and children under 16 years old stay free.
    • Check in after 3:00 PM and check out before 11:00 AM. Check in/out times may be flexible upon request.
    • Dogs and Cats are allowed but must be approved by the Owner.
    • Guests are asked to be quiet between the times of 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
    • No Maid Service is provided during a stay.
    • Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
