The panorama extends from the impressive ridge of Monte Giovo (1996 meters) and Monte Rondinaio in the north, round along the bosky spur of hill on which Lucignana is located -- though invisible to us -- and then out across the Wide Serchio valley to the Apuane Alps in the southwest. This is the direction of view you will enjoy from the balconies of this unit, as you sit out for a late breakfast, or perhaps enjoy the sun with your evening aperitif. On the other side of the house, the views are onto the charming and winding main street -- which is in reality an alleyway used almost exclusively by pedestrians.
As seen on TV: When you catch a glimpse of Tereglio atop its spur of mountain from across the valley, through your telephoto lens you may be able to see our balconies. It certainly caught the eye of the producers of "A Place in the Sun": This was one of the properties they filmed when they prepared a program on the Garfagnana in May 2006.
• Pisa International Airport is within a 60 minute(s) drive. Pisa International Airport (Galileo Galilei) is about 60 km away. By car it takes about an hour. There are also trains from Bagni di Lucca station (about 10km away). Trains pass through Lucca, a main station giving access to services to the rest of Italy, and beyond.
• Ski lifts or Runs : can be reached by driving for 60 minute(s). The resorts of Abetone are just on the other side of the mountains. The road, of course goes round, so allow an hour.
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by walking for 5 minute(s). SHOPPING: Tereglio has a couple of shops, but larger shopping centres are at Bagni di Lucca (10km), Fornaci di Barga (20km) and there is a large supermarket at Gallicano (30 km, mostly on a fast road). There are excellent markets in various village centres on different days of the week. Fruit and vegetables are really delicious in Tuscany, so do ask about the markets.
DINING: There is a good restaurant in the village, and another less than two kilometers to the north (walking distance if you like, or take the car). The Garfagnana region is full of places to eat out -- you will have no difficulty in finding a different restaurant for every night of your stay!
• For those whose holiday is incomplete without visiting the beach, the beaches of Viareggio are only an hour away through beautiful countryside.
50% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 7 days in advance). A refundable security/damage deposit of 300 is required. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to arrival, there is no refund unless re-rented.

• Maid Service is provided every 7 days during a stay.
• Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
