Torch Lake Cabins for Rent

There is a boat launch a mile away on the Clam River, moorings are available on a first come, first serve basis. The Clam River leads into the beautiful chain of lakes that includes Clam Lake, Lake Bellaire, and the Grass River Natural Area. It's the perfect area for boating, fishing, and swimming. There is a wide variety of restaurants nearby from family casual to gourmet. There are great golf courses in every direction, from world-class Shanty Creek Resort and Grand Traverse Resort to Bay Harbor in Petosky. There is golf for every skill level and every pocketbook. World famous Mackinaw Island is an easy day trip, as are the Sleeping Bear Dunes and National Lakeshore at Empire, Michigan. There is a charcoal Weber grill at the cottage, and a classic old stone grill down by the lake. You are truly in the heart of all the greatest activities in northern Michigan, but it feels like your staying in a cabin in the north woods, because you are!

• The closest international airport is in Traverse City, and it take about 45 minutes to get there. Bellaire has a small regional airport you can bring your own plane into, and is about 15 minutes away.
• Golf: can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). There is a wide variety of golf in every direction. Every level of skill and every pocketbook will find a variety of options.
• Ski lifts or Runs : can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). We are closed during ski season.
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 30 minute(s). Alden is just a five minute drive with great dining and shopping; Bellaire is 15 minutes away with awesome dining and some shopping. Both towns have new gourmet restaurants opened by local legends promising truly world-class dining, and both also have family restaurants.
• This cottage is right on Torch Lake, with no other buildings between it and the lake. Distance to the lake is about 200 feet. This resort has 263' of frontage on Torch Lake, most of which is a boulder retaining wall. We have a sandy ramp area that allows you to walk down into the lake, which has a sandy bottom with lots of rocks, and we have a boating dock and a swimming dock, both brand new in 2005. We also have a swimming raft from which to enjoy the legendary crystal clear waters of Torch Lake. There are moorings for daytime use only, and on a first come, first served basis.
