Victoria, BC is located on the southern tip of
Vancouver Island and is the capital city of
British Columbia. Some of the main attractions are
Beacon Hill Park in the city centre, the BC Legislative Buildings, The Empress Hotel for high tea, the
Royal British Columbia Museum with large exhibits on local aboriginal peoples and natural history, the Emily Carr House, the Market Square and the
Pacific Undersea Gardens showcasing the marine life of BC. North of the city on the Saanich Peninsula is the Butchart Gardens, one of the biggest tourist
attractions on Vancouver Island. With so much to see and do, taking a few days to see
Victoria is well worth it.
