    Our home is situated directly across the street from the Penticton Safety Village, a kids playground, and a large park/ball field. Our home is surrounded by large maple and evergreen trees, and located within walking distance to downtown, IGA, coffee shops, restaurants, and Penticton Plaza which has a Safeway store, neighborhood pub, and government liquor store. We have a private backyard, 20 X 70 ft, all stamped cement, with hot tub, patio furniture, bbq, surrounded by a 6 ft high cedar fence. We have recently built a 10x12 guest house in our backyard, with a futon bed and upper bunk, which increases our sleeping capacity to 14 (8 beds). Our guest house also has an air conditioner, 2pc ensuite and an outside shower. The front yard has a courtyard, again all stamped cement, with chimnea (wood burning fireplace), another 50 inch Panasonic plasma TV, with DVD/VCR, and a nice view, great for a peaceful evening outside. We have also recently built a fish pond with waterfall in our front yard. Please check out our photos. We have Wireless Internet throughout the house and Shaw phone system which means you get "FREE UNLIMITED" calling anywhere within Canada and USA anytime of the day. ENJOY!!!

Great mountain biking, quading and dirt biking and hiking with lots of amazing running and walking routes. Please note that there is a cat named Shia. She will not be in the house where you will be staying but in case you are allergic, I want guests to know before hand as I do accept pets on certain conditions. This is a pet friendly home, however its your duty to do doggie duty, please be respectful and clean up after your dog ! This is a wonderful wedding venue for an intimate gathering, family reunion, couples get away, or small groups. There is always sleeping bag room for extra guests or children. Complimentary Naramata Wine, coffee beans, teas and spices, olive oils and balsamic and what ever is in the kitchen is for the guest use. All beds are new condition, and are vacuumed and deodorized on a regular bases. All mattress covers are laundered after each guest. The garage is a salon from which the owner works part time, with a self contained separate entrance of course. The basement is also self contained space for the owner,where personal belongings are kept, extra storage guest have access for emergecies. If the power goes out. Respect and privacy for the guests during their holiday is most important. At certain times where more space is needed the salon opens up to another suite with a full bathroom and door connecting to main house as is basement. For large groups please inquire. Kettle Valley Rail Trail The Kettle Valley Rail Trail is a multi-use recreational rail trail located in the Okanagan-Boundary region of southern British Columbia. The trail uses a rail corridor that was originally built for the now-abandoned Kettle Valley Railway. The trail was developed during the 1990s after the Canadian Pacific Railway abandoned train service. Our section joins Okanagan Falls to Kaleden and Penticton. It is a beautiful walk or bike ride. The start is the trestle bridge next to Hwy 97 - only a short walk from the cottage. A bike trip to Kaleden is about half an hour. Take water and snacks as Kaleden services are limited. Also beware of snakes in the summer as they enjoy basking on the trail. Penticton Challenge The Okanagan is triathlon country. In Okanagan Falls, you are at the center of the activity. Okanagan Falls is an aid station or transition station for many of the major triathlon and cycling events. Trestle Bridge The trestle bridge is also a popular spot to jump from into the lake. You’ll often see boats moored nearby letting their passengers cool off with a few jumps and a swim. Kenyon Park / Christie Memorial Park Okanagan Falls has a great beach and waterfront for the family and barely a block from the cottage. Kenyon Park has a playground and waterpark as well as grassy treed areas to set up for a day of beach fun. The lake access is quite safe for little ones as you can walk 50 m before it goes higher than your knees and there are no sharp drop offs until you reach the buoys. As is the case at all beaches in the Okanagan, there are no lifeguards. Orchards and Covert Farms As fruit comes into season, the stands open up across the valley. First to arrive are apricots and cherries, followed by peaches, pears, apples and grapes. For organic produce and a great family experience, check out Covert Farms south on Hwy 97 before Oliver. They have an extensive farm with lots of u-pick options, a lovely café, a winery with tastings and lots of activities for the kids.
