    This privately owned cabin is a warm and inviting place for a family get-away or romantic retreat at Apex Mountain! The cabin is located on a quiet cul de sac, a few minutes "ski" from the resort base. The house is extremely comfortable and energy efficient with warm cedar walls throughout, and a great wood burning fireplace/heater (we supply the wood - don't worry there's electric heat too). The inviting living/dining rooms have recently updated furniture and lots of space for everyone to relax after a day's activities. It is a great spot to snuggle up with a good book or play board games (we have lots for sharing), but for the technology addicted, there is also satellite TV (tons of channels, including sports), CD/DVD player, and free wireless internet. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a good supply of condiments and spices to get you started. The bedrooms provide comfortable accommodation for 6 adults or 2 families with their children under 16. No-one needs to sleep on a sofabed in the living room! As the cabin is about 30 yrs old, there is only one bathroom, but we have a huge hot water tank and everyone has fun sharing! There is ample off street parking and lots of room inside to store skis, snowboards, boots and skates. This family owned cabin gets lots of use and TLC. We go out of our way to make our few guests feel welcome and at home.

Respect and privacy for the guests during their holiday is most important.     Our home is situated directly across the street from the Penticton Safety Village, a kids playground, and a large park/ball field. Our home is surrounded by large maple and evergreen trees, and located within walking distance to downtown, IGA, coffee shops, restaurants, and Penticton Plaza which has a Safeway store, neighborhood pub, and government liquor store. We have a private backyard, 20 X 70 ft, all stamped cement, with hot tub, patio furniture, bbq, surrounded by a 6 ft high cedar fence. We have recently built a 10x12 guest house in our backyard, with a futon bed and upper bunk, which increases our sleeping capacity to 14 (8 beds). Our guest house also has an air conditioner, 2pc ensuite and an outside shower. The front yard has a courtyard, again all stamped cement, with chimnea (wood burning fireplace), another 50 inch Panasonic plasma TV, with DVD/VCR, and a nice view, great for a peaceful evening outside. We have also recently built a fish pond with waterfall in our front yard. Please check out our photos. We wake up to breathtaking snowy mountain peak views. Access just how long it is going to take to eat and get out there for first tracks. We decide the courses. Just a five minute ski to the lifts and take the Strayhorse path home. After a day on the slopes, no one has to talk us into a hot tub to soothe our aching joints (we are getting older and there is always too much snow to shovel). Watching the snow fall with more expressos, and we often slip out for an evening skate on the outdoor skating rink. The braver ones taken in the hockey game at the outside rink. I personally love the Tube Park where you are guaranteed to take 10 years off your life, laughing alone, finished with a good book in front of the fireplace, or a hockey game on the television.
