The gated community of Southern Dunes was first established in 1993, and it is located approximately 8 miles south of I4 exit 55 on State Route 27. It is a community of approximately 700 homes located around the multi award winning Southern Dunes Golf Course. This community has a gated entrance with a night security guard. There is a clubhouse with a restaurant and bar, which is open to everyone, not just for golfers
Activities
Located on an eighteen hole championship golf course, which also has a driving range, putting green and proshop. There is an olympic size heated community pool, two tennis courts, and basketball courts. Landscaped lake and a small children's play area with swings and slides.
Distances
Fifteen to twenty minutes away from Walt Disney World's maingate and Central Florida's many attractions including Epcot, Sea World, and Universal Studios. Just outside the main gate to the community are two large supermarkets, Winn-Dixie and Wal-Mart which will have everything you need (food, pharmacy, clothes etc). Wal-Mart is open 24 hours and has a petrol (gas) station.Orlando International Airport (MCO) is a 30 minute drive from the complex.
