The complex is located on Ali'i Drive, a one and a half mile walk into the town of Kailua. The restaurant located nearest the complex is 'Jameson's by the Sea', a fine dining restaurant. The Ali'i Drive shuttle bus, painted red, white and blue, runs along Ali' Drive at approximate thirty to forty-five minute intervals. Although you are on the ocean, the best swimming beachs are approximately one mile south, or in the village one and a half miles north. White Sand Beach Park (a.k.a Magic Sands), is a few minutes drive south. Slightly further is Kahalu'u Beach Park, a renowned snorkling beach. This is popular spot to surf and snorkle; it is frequented by turtles, and has a sheltered access for novice snorkelers. A large sandy beach can be found at the renowned Hapuna State Park, a fity-five minute drive north on Hwy 19. It is almost 700 yards long. During good weather the swimming is good and life guards are on duty. The Kona Country Club golf course is located approximately an eight minute drive away from the complex, and has 36 championship holes, pro shop, driving range, restaurant and lounge. There are other golf courses to the north, and a course at the Volcano Golf and Country Club, which at 4,000 feet is the highest course in Hawaii. It is a two hour and twenty minute drive to Volcanoes National Park.
