Black Bear Lodge is situated on almost four acres.
There are nine huge fourplexes on the property in a horseshoe setting.

Activities
Tennis court. Black Bear Lodge is located in Tahsis, a very remote small village on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Visitors come to catch the Tyee salmon(over 40 lbs) and the huge halibut, which are commonly up to 165 pounds.

Distances
The ocean and all marinas are only five minutes away. A short walk to the community recreation facilities nearby that includes bowling, swimming, weight rooms and computor access.
Visitors tour the many natural caves, scuba dive, and go fishing and kayaking.
Dining and shopping, what there is of it, are only minutes away from the lodge,
which is located on the outskirts of the village.
There are 4 restaurants and two pubs in the town, a bakery, convenience store, liquor store, cold beer and wine store, post office, and several gift shops. Water landing equipped planes can land in town, on the Tahsis Inlet, which is a deep sea port.
The closest airport is approximately 150 km away, in Campbell River, or 200 km, in Comox.
