We understand our home is not suitable for everyone. If you prefer a temperature controlled environment, daily housekeeping, this is not your house. No heat drawing appliances allowed. Hair Dryers and Coffee Makers, Toasters and Microwaves deplete the system, and can DESTROY it leaving you without cooling fans or power, and us with an expensive system to replace. The French Press makes great coffee, you can charge your laptop just fine. Your hair will dry just fine in the sun! I promise.

Our house is "off the grid". All electricity is from solar power with back-up generator. Water for washing and bathing is collected on the roof top and stored in a cistern below the house. Renters should respect this condition by conserving water usage, turn off lights and fans when not in that area of the house. From time to time our caretaker may need to enter the house to inspect the water supply, turn on the generator, or direct water to our rooftop storage area.
