Lakeside waterfront home with private grounds, garden retreat near Victoria BC
Near 3 golf courses, Sooke salmon fishing, Royal Roads University. The house is on a lovely lake. Sailing, canoeing, swimming, fishing all from a private waterfront dock. A lakeside private bar/changeroom inspired by Jimmy Buffet called the Taki Tiki awaits you. Take a rope into the lake or dip a paddle using the restored antique cedar strip canoe. Or take the party barge out (no powerboats allowed...very quiet) using the electric motor to cruise the lake. Hiking trails are nearby and Bear Mountain Golf Course is a 10 minute drive. A shopping center is only 5 minutes away.

    • The unit is Lake front. Beach gradient is gradual for a short distance. There is a dock. The dock is private. There is room for 4 boats. Glen Lake has trout, bass and other forms of wildlife (turtles, bald eagles etc) Excellent swimming lake - however lake weed exists near the shore and lots of water lilies. An area is raked in front of the property to make access easier or use the swimming barge to go out to the diving platform in middle of lake. Beach Equipment: Canoe, Row Boat and Sailboat.
    • Nearby Attractions: Hatley Castle - and crab fishing grounds on Pacific Ocean 5 minute drive. Salmon and Halibut charter fishing 1 hr away. Ocean sailing 10 minutes away.
    Payments and Policies
    Payment Details
    10% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 7 days in advance). A refundable security/damage deposit of 500 is required. If you cancel less than 3 days prior, payments (less one night's rental) are refunded.
    Owner accepts payments by: PayPal - Money Order or Cashiers Cheque - Direct Bank Deposit - Cash - Travelers Cheques
    *Please note that the above policies relate to the Owner's portion only.
    Policies
    • No smoking is allowed.
    • Children are allowed.
    • Check in after 4:00 PM and check out before 11:00 AM. Check in/out times may be flexible upon request.
    • All pets are allowed but must be approved by the Owner.
    • There is no specific quiet time policy, though guests are asked to be respectful of any neighbours.
    • An optional Daily Maid Service is available for the following fee of 60.00.
    • Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
