Arapahoe Basin Lodging

Arapahoe Basin (also known as A-Basin or simply, the Basin) is a ski area for alpine skiing high in White River National Forest of the Colorado Rocky Mountains in the Summit County. The Basin is located about 65 miles (105 km) west of Denver, where Loveland and Eldora are somewhat closer, at 53 and 45 miles (72 km) respectively. Accommodations and lodging range from cozy chalet rental and condo rentals to luxurious vacation rentals.

The Basin remains open for skiing much longer than most Colorado resorts, and often starts earlier as well hence its known as the Legend.. Arapahoe Basin is known for a following of hardcore, yet relaxed folks that like simply to ski and avoid the glamour associated with resorts like Aspen. Accommodation, vacation rental, chalet rental and condo rental options are still charming and affordable.

A-Basin is located just below Loveland Pass. It therefore offers a spectacular view of the Continental Divide (which it borders) from the lifts. From the top of the East Wall and the North Pole there are great views of Lake Dillon, Breckenridge, Keystone, Montezuma and Loveland Pass. Though it is mostly known for advanced and expert terrain, A-Basin also has runs for the novice and intermediate skier, as well as a children's program. The entire Summit County has many accommodation options ranging from exclusive chalet rentals to budget vacation rentals, catering to all types of visitors.

Silverthorne, 20 minutes away, offers visitors many restaurants, bars, café’s and shopping. In addition it is also home to many outdoor recreation opportunities, including four parks, a 10’ wide paved recreation path that links to the Summit County trail system, two National Forest Service Trail Heads, and access to an abundance of open space. Considered by many to be the heart and soul of Silverthorne, the Blue River winds its way through the length of the Town of Silverthorne. Waters designated as "Gold Medal" by the Colorado Wildlife Commission are those considered to provide outstanding angling opportunities for large trout. Visitors will also find charming accommodations, vacation rentals and some chalet rentals.

Whoever’s on chef duty will find everything they need in the well-stocked kitchen.
