The garden is suitable for BBQs and is equipped with picnic tables. The great beach of Guincho is about a 12 minute walk . It is accessed by a new boardwalk over spectacular dunes. The view of the ocean and the Sintra mountains from the cottage and from the dunes is truly spectacular. Only a few minutes walk is a village which has restaurants, cafes and basic shopping. The location is excellent; Lisbon is 35 minutes, Sintra is 15 and Cascais is 7. We live on the same property - although completely independent - and we enjoy helping guests with suggestions and recommendations for shopping, excursions, restaurants, etc. Wine and coffee are offered with pleasure in our large garden. The cottage has a WiFi connection as well as many international TV channels. Guests are invited to use our phone through skype or VoIP in the event that they do not have their own facilities. The owner is American and a concert violinist who has traveled throughout the world and who enjoys relating stories of his travels and hearing stories from our guests. His spouse is Portuguese, knows the country very well and is eager to share her passion for flowers and her knowledge of Portuguese cuisine.

    Our apartment is located in Bairro Alto one of the main tourist and historical areas of Lisbon. It´s about 5 minutes from Chiado and also you may find a few meters from the apartment the famous "Elevador da Bica ". Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Tejo River in the "Mirador de Santa Catarina." The apartment location is a quiet and strategic place in the heart of the city and will allow our guests to stroll along the main sights of the city center and enjoy a lot of interesting shops, entertainment spots, bars, fado houses, terraces and restaurants. For culture lovers you have a tram stop (No. 28) about 120 meters from our door that goes through the typical neighborhoods of Alfama, Castelo Sao Jorge and Graça. The Lisbon apartment is suitable for 2-3 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, glasses, cutlery and everything you need to make use of it. Included are sheets and towels, TV and Wireless and additional maid service for stays over one week. The apartment is located on the 2nd floor without elevator and is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Due to it's important role on Porto's history, "Rua das Flores" Street has more foreign people visiting it during the day than local people. It's a place you cannot miss visiting. But why not staying on it for several days instead. You can't lose the excellent environment of the river Douro, where the best restaurants with excellent Portuguese cuisine, bars to relax during the day and shake at night with many people in the street, go to the port wine cellars and taste this nectar of the gods, the house of music for concerts and a lot more to see here in Oporto. The flat has one bedroom with double bed and a sofa bed. Towels, Linen and tableware are included and the kitchen is fully equipped to make meals. Free wireless internet included. The building was completely rebuilt 10 years ago but had to keep the original architecture by imposition of the culture department of Portugal. Located just 4 minutes walk from the Metro station "São Bento", thus arriving from Oporto airport or any other place in Oporto city, it is convenient, fast, and economical and it can easily take advantage of all other public and tourist transport. Late check-in is acceptable. Late check-out is possible if we don't have new guests on the same day.

Located just 5 minutes from the lovely village of Ponta do Sol which is situated on the west side of the island and is arguable the warmest area of Madeira. From here you can visit Ribeira Brava, Caleta, Madelin do Mar, Jardine do Mar,Paul do Mar, which are all maximum driving time of between 5 and 15 minutes. All have a host things to see and do including beautiful sandy beaches, pretty fishing villages selling local cuisine. Indoor and outdoor markets selling fresh local produce Museums indoor and out door swimming pools and very good selection of restaurants and cafés to numerous to mention. If you wish you can leave the car at home for the day and jump on the local bus that will take you to most parts of the island bus stop is 200m from the apartment. There is also a café, restaurant and well stocked store just a 3 minutes walk from the apartment and a supermarket, cash point, and shopping centre just a 5 minute drive.
