    Our comfortable self-catering vacation rental cottage brims with character and charm and can be found off a very quiet country lane between the pretty villages of Gouarec and Laniscat, right in the heart of Brittany. The Barn is a freshly renovated, traditional small Breton grange, dating back almost 300 years, and is ideal for a family holiday. It can sleep up to 6 people in three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin-bedded room). The property features ancient oak beamed ceilings throughout and the spacious 350 square foot living area enjoys a wonderful vaulted ceiling with feature exposed A-frames and original slate window sills. We've even managed to retain several original stone tethering rings. Both upstairs bedrooms also bright and airy and feature exposed A-frames. There is a large shower room on the ground floor and a separate downstairs WC. The fully equipped kitchen is open to the living area, which means that nobody feels shut away when preparing a meal. The living space with its vaulted ceiling is bright and airy and furnished with a large comfortable suite - perfect for lounging. There's an LED TV (with satellite channels) and a Blu-Ray player and a log-burner for those lazy evenings in. Although, you are more than likely to want to spend your evenings around the large octagonal table on your private patio enjoying the evening summer sun. The lawn and private patio area to the rear of the property is a real sun-trap and there are parasols and sun-loungers at your disposal, as well as a bistro style table and chairs and a large wooden table with bench seating for al fresco dining. You can find it in the hamlet of La Coupaudais, which is just outside the village of Saint-Hélen near Dinan in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Northern Brittany, France. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the accommodation is well placed for a relaxing holiday. There are lots of nearby interesting places to explore, including the medieval market town of Dinan, which is just 10 minutes' drive away. The port of St Malo at the mouth of the River Rance is a 15-minute drive away and the seaside town of Dinard, with its magnificent beaches, is around 20 minutes' away. The city of Rennes, where you can find designer shops and wonderful restaurants, can also be reached in around 20 minutes. There is easy access from the various channel ports or through the Channel Tunnel. If you are flying, Dinard Airport has daily flight connections with Stansted and Bristol. And Rennes Airport connects with Southampton, Southend, Manchester, Dublin, Exeter, Edinburgh, Belfast and other airports in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. There are further details on the "Travel information" page. Our gite was a residential property until 1936. After that, it was used by a local farmer to store his cider barrels and apple press. We renovated it in 2004 and turned it in to a self-catering holiday gite that sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms. The gite has full central heating throughout and has a large log burner, making it suitable for holidays all year round. There is an open plan lounge/diner with a galley-style kitchen area. The focal point of the room is the large original fireplace. The lounge area has comfortable sofas, while the dining area has a pine table and eight chairs. The television in the gite receives all Sky free channels. There is a DVD and video player and a selection of DVD's videos, games and books. The kitchen has fitted units with an integrated dual fuel cooker. There is also a refrigerator with a freezer compartment and a large selection of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and serving dishes. A patio door leads to the rear garden, where there is a garden table and chairs. The bathroom has been fitted with a large shower cubicle and a sink. There is a separate toilet next to the bathroom. One bedroom has a large oak double bed, with an oak wardrobe and side cabinet. The second bedroom has two pine single beds with a pine wardrobe and chest of drawers. For our smaller guests there is a baby bath, travel cot, stair gate and high chair if required. The large garden to the rear of our self-catering properties has been laid to lawn and contains a 15ft round, above-ground swimming pool. The garden is enclosed with gates at the entrances. At the front of the gite there is a graveled area which incorporates an ancient bread oven, with a walled pergola. We have also converted a small barn between the gite and cottage into a utility room that houses a washing machine, chest freezer, a sink, an airer, and an iron and ironing board. Barbecue equipment and garden furniture are provided for the use of guests. Outdoor games and equipment are provided, such as a paddling pool, badminton, tennis, soft ball, cricket, footballs, frisbees etc.

There is a large selection of videos and DVDs and a wide range of family board games and books for all ages. The well-equipped kitchen has been fitted with modern units, including a dishwasher. There is a large range-style cooker for those who want to practise their French cooking skills. A large selection of quality kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and serving dishes is provided. In the bathroom there is a toilet, a large sink, a bath and a shower cubicle. The bath also has a shower attachment. Two of the bedrooms have pine double beds with matching wardrobes and side cabinets. The other has a pine bunk bed with a set of pine drawers.     This is a charming 15th Century stone house located in the heart of the village of Beynac, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. The chateau at Beynac is on the top of a 500 foot cliff and the village houses are positioned below - providing privacy and spectacular views from one side of the house, and village life on the other. Extraordinary views of the magnificent Dordogne river and the Valley of the Five Chateaux present themselves from each of the four floors. The front door opens directly from the cobblestone streets - just steps from our private and unique parking grotte - into the main room of approximately 60 sq. Meters. Honey colored stone walls, stone tile floor, ancient wooden beams and a huge medieval fireplace set the tone for this main floor. A fully applianced kitchen with a granite countered cooking area is built into one of the old fireplaces. Antique carpets and leather seating offers a comfortable area to relax, listen to the stereo or view English satellite television on the 30' flat panel television. The large dining table suitable for seating up to 6 diners is next to the window offering spectacular views of the river, the sunset and the colorful montgolfiers (hot air balloons) drifting by at dawn and sunset most days in season.     This villa is situated in a beautiful, peaceful location, with its own spectacular outdoor swimming pool in a large garden. Waking up in the morning you will open your French doors onto your balcony and enjoy your morning coffee listening to the birds and admiring the view of the garden. With the large terrace overlooking the garden and pool you will be able to cook by bar-b-que every evening and relax. It is within 15 minutes drive of local supermarkets and the historic town of Les Arcs. It is also 10 minutes drive from Les Arcs main railway station. It is 50 minutes to the beautiful town of St Tropez, and also 50 minutes drive to Cannes and 55 minutes to Gorge de Verdon winch boasts an incredible turquoise blue lake. 25 minutes drive to Frejus seafront and sandy beaches and a fantastic aqua park. Nice is 1 hour and and 14 minutes by car. The local vineyards are superb with great quality wines. “We had a fantastic holiday in this spacious house with a magnificent swimming pool set in beautiful gardens in the hills above Les Arcs. The location is very peaceful and private. The swimming pool was the focus of our stay, the lack of chlorine was much appreciated and it has to be said that it was one of the best pools we have ever experienced. The pool is also toddler friendly because it has a gradual descent into the pool which gave our toddler the confidence to learn to swim. The house is tastefully decorated, clutter free, with modern furniture and mod cons. There is a functional kitchen with all the amenities we needed and an outdoor barbecue. The upstairs bedrooms have a shared balcony which gave us extra space and views of the surrounding area. As cyclists, we appreciated the use of the double garage for secure storage. We could descend down into les arcs for coffee and croissants at the excellent Le Tour cafe and return via traffic free roads through vineyards and leafy lanes. There is a local cycle path about 20 miles long, where the gradients were easy and gave panoramic views of the local vineyards. If you do this track, make sure you stop at the Station Rosalie (green caravan), west of Lorgues, serving the best bruschetta any of us had ever tasted. A trip to the Gorge De Verdon is spectacular and would make a great place to visit for either kayaking, cycling or walking. There is a big choice of local supermarkets, Boulangerie’s and a fruit and veg shop offering fantastic fruit and vegetables to die for, are within easy access by car or bike. The local vineyards are superb with great quality wines. “We had a fantastic holiday in this spacious 3 bedroom house with a magnificent swimming pool set in beautiful gardens in the hills above Les Arcs. The location is very peaceful and private. The swimming pool was the focus of our stay, the lack of chlorine was much appreciated and it has to be said that it was one of the best pools we have ever experienced. The pool is also toddler friendly because it has a gradual descent into the pool which gave our toddler the confidence to learn to swim. The house is tastefully decorated, clutter free, with modern furniture and mod cons. There is a functional kitchen with all the amenities we needed and an outdoor barbecue. The upstairs bedrooms have a shared balcony which gave us extra space and views of the surrounding area. As cyclists, we appreciated the use of the double garage for secure storage. We could descend down into les arcs for coffee and croissants at the excellent Le Tour cafe and return via traffic free roads through vineyards and leafy lanes. There is a local cycle path about 20 miles long, where the gradients were easy and gave panoramic views of the local vineyards. If you do this track, make sure you stop at the Station Rosalie (green caravan), west of Lorgues, serving the best bruschetta any of us had ever tasted. A trip to the Gorge De Verdon is spectacular and would make a great place to visit for either kayaking, cycling or walking. There is a big choice of local supermarkets, Boulangerie’s and a fruit and veg shop offering fantastic fruit and vegetables to die for, are within easy access by car or bike.
