INSIDE THE HOUSE
From a driveway with parking for 3 vehicles, it’s a short stroll across a wooden bridge to reach the front door.
As you step inside, you’ll enter an open-concept living space with a classic mountain lodge feel. On your first left, there’s a half bath with wood-paneled walls.
When the snow falls, you’ll love huddling up in the living area. Sink into an L-shaped couch and warm your toes around the wood-burning stove. Nearby, a leather loveseat offers a snug spot to relax with a book or watch movies on the 55” swiveling wall-mounted TV.
Next to the living area, a rustic farm-style dining table seats 6.
Outside, your private hot tub awaits on a wrap-around deck. In the evenings, nothing beats taking a soak beneath a sky full of stars.
The chef in your group will love trying new recipes in the upscale kitchen. Stainless steel appliances include an electric stove/oven, dishwasher, and microwave, while countertops and cupboards are packed with gadgets and cookware.
Stairs near the living area lead to a hallway with the bedrooms. On the first right, a guest bathroom has a shower/tub combo and contains a laundry room with a stackable washer/dryer.
Two large bedrooms both feature a queen-size bed with lots of storage space to unpack and unwind.
Another cozy bedroom (on the left of the hallway) has a queen-size bed.
The spacious master bedroom features a king-size bed, a 36” TV, and an en suite bathroom with a stand-up shower.
From the hallway, head outdoors to find the guest house. This separate sleeping/living space comes with 6 twin beds, a seating area, a 49” TV, and a pool table.
A great base for a winter vacation, this Carnelian Bay rental is within a 15-minute drive from the slopes of Northstar and Squaw Valley Resort. You’re also just a 10-minute drive to Burton Creek State Park, which offers 2,000 acres of untouched terrain with hiking and cross-country skiing trails. Drive 10 minutes to Tahoe City or 8 minutes drive to Kings Beach.
In the warmer months, spend your days relaxing on local beaches such as Patton Beach—just an 8-minute stroll. Also, only 8 minutes to a mini-golf course.
Restaurants and cafes are also nearby. Drive 2 minutes to the Old Post Office (renowned for their hearty breakfasts), or head to Gar Woods Grill & Pier for Californian dishes in a stylish lakeside setting.
Drive the same distance to Waterman’s Landing, a beachfront cafe offering kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals and lessons.
