If you are visiting California you’ll likely want to try some Avocado. One of the best times to do that is during the California Avocado Festival that is held in Carpinteria in October. Visitors to Carpinteria will also find the Santa Barbara Polo Club, one of the main equestrian polo fields in the country.

Getting to Carpinteria is easy. Carpinteria lies in the Southeast of Santa Barbara county. Visitors to the area can fly into Santa Barbara, Long Beach and Los Angeles. There is also an Amtrak Station in Carpinteria, that is served by Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner from San Luis Obispo to San Diego.
