Clearwater is known as the Gateway to Wells Gray Provincial Park. The park encompasses 522,000 hectares, with five major lakes, two large river systems and numerous spectacular waterfalls. Wells Gray in close proximity to your vacation rental accommodations and lodging is known worldwide for its incredible mountain scenery and hiking trails. One of the most spectacular views is Helmcken Falls, which plunges 141 meters down a narrow canyon. The many hiking trails, varying in skill level from very easy to extremely challenging, provide a healthy means for enjoying the abundant scenery and wildlife which populate the North Thompson Valley within easy access to your vacation rental accommodations. Enjoy a short hike into one the many waterfalls in the area or plan for a longer hike into the more remote locations.

The remote wilderness, the virgin forest, and the rivers, lakes and streams all combine to make your home away from home at your Clearwater vacation rentals all that it claims to be. Fishing is a popular activity in , with many remote lakes in the area to test your angling skills. Clearwater, in its snowy mantle, is the ultimate winter playground. Cross-country ski on freshly groomed trails, or snowmobile the high mountain peaks and see spectacular panoramic views of endless snow-covered mountain ranges you can view from your condo rentals or vacation rentals. Go telemark skiing down untracked mountain slopes, ice skate, go curling, or ice fish for wild rainbow trout. Downhill Skiing is available on the five runs at the Clearwater Ski Hill, which offers a T-bar, and night skiing. Clearwater and your vacation rentals has it all.

There are two golf courses in Clearwater. Wells Gray Golf Resort offers a challenging 9-hole golf course, the ideal location for golf tournaments and family reunions in an incredible wilderness setting. Lacarya Golf Course just South of Clearwater, is a 9-hole, Par-70 course surrounded by mountain peaks and wilderness; a pleasure for beginners and a challenge to advanced players.

You could also take Rambler to the Mt Morrisey Connector and take the run to the Sundance Estates and cut in to the valley trail that way as well.

"[The Property Manager]" was easy to contact with questions pre-arrival and our lift tickets were waiting for us at the condo as promised. This condo is truly ski-in, ski-out. Parking passes are provided but we walked to town. After a full day on the slopes we barbequed our steaks on the patio and then relaxed in the hot tub. The condo was very spacious and as well as 4 bathrooms there were racks in the laundry room for drying for your ski/snowboarding gear and space to store your gear in the attached garage.
