Denver Area Accommodations

Denver Area Travel Guide
Discover yourself in the words of John Denver in Rocky Mountain High as you vacation in Colorado. "He was born in the summer of his 27th year; Comin' home to a place he'd never been before; He left yesterday behind him, you might say he was born again; You might say he found a key for every door.” Nature lovers will appreciate the establishment of the protection of wetlands through the Aspen’s John Denver Sanctuary. Owner Direct Vacation Rentals has cabin vacation rentals or condo rental accommodations available for you.

Take a 90-minute tour of Denver and Boulder on a hillbilly-shack-style bus. Within Denver – the Mile High City – there is a lot you can do. At the centre of town you can enjoy time at the Denver Zoo located in the City Park. The Denver Botanic Gardens has 32,000 types of plants. Enjoy the rides at the Elitch Gardens Theme Park. The architectural components of the Denver Art Museum are a visual juxtaposition of style, with the old building being a medieval fortress and the Daniel Libeskind designed Hamilton Building being modern and sleek in its form.

After a day of site seeing, return to your lodging accommodation and put up your feet and relax awhile out on the deck or balcony. The next day, pack a picnic lunch in the kitchen of your vacation rental before you go to Washington Park. Take the time to walk or bike along the trails winding through the 165 acres. Stop at the two tranquil lakes and enjoy the floral beauty of the city’s largest flower garden. Have you ever heard a concert in a natural amphitheatre? You will enjoy the sound of music at the Red Rocks Park Amphitheatre.

Within thirty-minutes from Denver, you can be rafting on the Colorado River. Stay in a mountain chalet rental or a condo rental in town. Stock up with food; your lodgings will have all the amenities you need. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and then take a hour-and-a-half drive and head towards Colorado Springs. At Manitou Springs, shop for a souvenir at the Garden of the Gods Trading Post, which resembles the homes of the Pueblo Indian, and was built in the early 1900’s.
