A large gazebo to the front of the main entrance facilitates outside dining for 6/7 overlooking the courtyard. From here, large double glazed doors take you in to the modern extension consisting of a bright and airy sitting/dining room with air con unit and through to the singles bedroom (2 or 3 beds) with its own air con unit and private shower room. Note this shower room can be accessed independently from the sitting/dining room without going through the bedroom. The kitchen flows adjacent to the dining room and yet remains out of view when seated at the table. It is well-equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, hob and oven. A kitchen patio lies outside the back door, with a sun umbrella and table and chairs, an ideal spot to enjoy your first coffee of the day in the morning sun. From the kitchen, a corridor leads to the spacious main double bedroom. At your disposal is a spectacular barbecue with an outside sink carved from its original stone; yet another gazebo by the pool for outside dining or simply some shade; a shower with hot and cold water; a vegetable plot available from spring to autumn; and a main entrance with automatic gates.

    This is a charming 91 m2 country house, on a plot covered with olive and orange trees. It's the perfect place for people who love a quiet place in the nature, which is near the seaside and the city of Athens. It is a newly renovated house. The interior design offers very good functionality and it is very good equipped. The house offers very good isolation from the outside temperature and it is full air-conditioned. The exterior design offers a beautiful garden and vegetable plot, garden furniture, shower, grill equipment and a small but lovely above earth pool. Although the house isn't situated in front of the sea, its location is very competitive, because it combines simultaneously easy access to the beach and to the grocery and to the public bus service. Our free transfer from and to the airport or the city center at the day of check in and check out offers a benefit for the quests. The alarm system offers a safe stay for the quests. We offer, free of charge, bicycles for use of all our visitors. My wife and I are available during the renting period. We visit the house every two or three days, in order to clean the pool and to take care of the garden. Depends of the availability, we offer homemade cooked food, self-produced vegetables, a bottle of homemade wine, olive oil from our trees or eggs from our chicken. We are prompted to give the necessary information and we suggest activities or excursions. Marathon is the place in which took place the ancient battle between the Greeks and the Persians. Here, you can visit the Museum, the Tomb and the ruins of the ancient town of Rhamnus. The region, where the house situated, is flat with a large area of agricultural land between the sea and the mountain of Penteli. The location of house offers an easy access to the nearest beach by bicycle, cycling on a flat area. (about 15 min for 2.2Km). Marathon beach is about 12km long, mostly sandy and deepens smoothly. In this way, it is ideal and safe for children. The sea water is clean and enjoyable, especially in the morning. Swimming at the beach is free of charge. Nevertheless, you can find beach bars, which offer sun lounges and umbrellas, pricing the refreshments or beverages you order. At the east side of the coast, about 10 km far from the house, located the beach named Schinias. This beautiful beach offers a combination between sea and pine forest. There is a great offer of water sports too. At the south side of the coast located the beach of Nea Makri. This beach is very beautiful conformed to palm tree garden. Here, you can find many cafés, restaurants, taverns and music bars. Remarkable is the easy access to the public bus service. The bus stop is about 400 m away from the house. There is a daily bus service to Athens city center and return, every hour, from 6.00 am to 10.00 pm. Of course in Athens offers many famous places to visit and a lot of walk in order to feel the life of this city. If you have more time and a car, it is very interesting to visit the Temple of Poseidon in Sounion (Attica region), the ancient area of Delphi, the Rocks of Meteora or you can the ferry from Rafina Port to Andros Island and the ferry from Agia Marina Port to south Evia Island.

This cottage is in the grounds of the Villa and will accommodate just 6 people. It is therefore ideal for smaller parties or as an overspill facility for parties of up to 18. The cottage is a more rustic building but has been recently modernized and has a luxurious master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. There are also two further bedrooms - one double and one twin. Our policy is not to rent both properties to different groups at the same time, but only to rent out the cottage when there is not a party using the Villa. We believe the cottage may be of particular interest out of season when families or smaller parties wish to explore Tuscany. Chianni is a great centre from which to explore the art of Tuscany. Visible from the cottage on a rocky promontory is the ancient city of Volterra famously written about by D H Lawrence in Etruscan Places.
