How to Get Here & Getting Around - The closest airport is Southwest Florida International Airport, then Tampa International Airport. From there, you’ll have a wide variety of options to reach your destination - taxis, shuttles, bus, and limousine service. By car, take I-75 to exit 158 known as US-41 south. Follow the road for approximately 18 miles to reach the area. If you’re staying in the beach area, you can use the Fort Myers Beach trolley to get around, but many visitors rent a car to access all areas of the city.
When to Go - Fort Myers is known to be a year-round destination with warm, balmy weather for nearly 300 days of the year. Still, the best time to visit is between March and May where you can completely relax with the crowds diminished. Although the sun is up, visitors wanting a peaceful vacation should watch out for spring breakers.
