INSIDE THE FARMHOUSE
A 1908 charmer, this quaint farmhouse has seen several updates and additions throughout the years - the ideal home base for family reunions, getaways with friends, and once-in-a-lifetime gatherings.
The natural beauty of the property will greet you at the driveway. Park by the apple tree and make your way to the set of stairs by the sunroom - a true standout feature at this home. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic views of the pastoral property.
Sit down for meals at the 6-person dining table, catch up with each while lounging on the comfy couch, or host your own movie marathon on the TV. When nights get chilly, fire up the gas fireplace, as you play the piano or challenge each other on at the air hockey table.
A dining area inside the front door has a 4-person table for even more seating for larger groups. A formal living room offers additional seating and has a 42” flat-screen TV and fireplace.
Just off the formal living room, the fully equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need to whip up meals and snacks for your hungry guests. Full-size appliances, ample counter space and extras like blender, coffeemaker and toaster make cooking a breeze. It also has an eat-in area with even more seating.
Each of the 5 bedrooms has its own distinct flavor and lovely pastoral views (one even has a peek-a-boo beach view!), outfitted with comfortable furnishings and cozy beds.
The first-floor master comes with a wrought-iron queen bed and a master bath with a walk-in shower. Another first-floor bedroom has a queen bed, closet and doors to the back deck. A washer and dryer is tucked away in the laundry room next to the powder room with sink and toilet.
Upstairs, the 3rd bedroom has a queen bed and cozy armchair. The elegant 4th bedroom has a queen bed. In the 5th bedroom, a queen bed has neutral gray and white decor and the large windows offer a glimpse of the beach in the distance.
Another full bath upstairs comes with a tub and shower combination and single vanity.
Several artists also call the property home, and you might catch them working the barn or studio. M-Bar-C Ranch, a 9-minute walk down the road, hosts children from the Forgotten Children’s Fun throughout the year and offers riding camps to the public in the summer.
Gather up your beach gear and walk (24 minutes) or drive (3 minutes) down to Mutiny Bay, where you can spend the afternoon sunbathing, swimming and paddle-boarding.
Freeland Park (4 minutes) is another great place for families to spend the day. Sit on the pier and watch the boats coming in and out of the waterways or burn off some energy on the kids’ playground. It also has picnic areas and walking trails.
Spend the day delving into history at Fort Casey (20 minutes). While there, check out the lighthouse, do some saltwater fishing and hike the walking trails.
