For your laundry, there is a nearby laundrette at cheap prices. Something light to eat and drink will welcome you on your arrival just to relax after the journey. Amenities and Area: The apartment is on the first floor (second floor U.S.A.) overlooking the large Calle Ca’ Foscari. The cottage is well placed for touring Ireland. This cottage is Irish Tourist Board approved and has been lovingly restored, keeping as much as possible of the 'Old World' character of the cottage while adding all the modern comforts. The wide bridge which crosses the River Shannon to County Galway opens the way to tour the west of Ireland. Banagher is famous for its Irish music pubs, river cruises, golf courses, Bog walks and rail tours, great Fishing, Excellent super markets and shops, Restaurants, and Hotels. This is the only rental property on the farm and it has been the McDonald family home for generations. It is located close to the main farmhouse, in a nice farm garden with an orchard. Our local town Banagher welcomes visitors. There is a variety of pubs so you can enjoy a quiet drink or follow the sound of singing and traditional music which can be heard on the street to a lively pub session. On a warm night listen to the distinctive sound of the corncrake on the bridge or go on a Corncrake Evening organized by Bird watch Ireland during the summer. Heating - There is oil-fired central heating. The living room has an Aga type solid fuel range (peat turf is supplied free). Electricity is included in the price. All bed linen and towels are provided and are included in the rental price. There is a wired internet connection in the cottage and Wi-Fi can be accessed outside the cottage.
