Located on a farm only 2.5 miles from Banagher town in Co. Offaly, Ireland. The Cottage has the feeling of seclusion while it is actually well placed to tour the West of Ireland and is within easy walking distance of the River Shannon. If your passion is fishing then our Cottage is the place for you. Its location near the River Shannon makes the Ashtree an angler's dream Banagher is famous for its Irish music pubs, its river cruises, Bog walks and tours, great Fishing, ( coarse fishing - pike fishing is particularly rewarding). Its proximity to several golf courses, Excellent super markets and shops, Restaurants and Hotels make it a great holiday location . Most of the pubs serve really good food and creamy Guinness .

Our cottage is located just 6 miles from the lovely seaside town of Dungarvan, and is set in the countryside. It's fully furnished and comes with free wifi included in the price. It comes with private parking for up to 3 cars and has a large lawn for children to play, also outside picnic bench to sit out and take in the fresh air and enjoy the countryside views. Cork and Waterford cities are 1 hour away Electricity is not included in the rental fee and is by pre-pay meter and needs to be topped up by guests as necessary. Simple instructions provided, also the owner will be available to help if required. The Cottage is fully furnished with towels and bed linen supplied. The Cottage has an open fire with back boiler for central heating, a starter pack of fuel is provided, Also electric radiators are installed for extra heat if needed. Free Wifi included, it also has free to air satellite tv. The owner lives nearby. The nearest pub is 2 miles. Guest access Full Access to all of the property, outside picnic bench and large green area to enjoy the outdoors. We are only 6km Waterford Greenway, a 46-kilometre cycle or walking trail, the longest in Ireland with lovely scenery and bike rental available.

Marian and John invite you to rent this 300-year-old farm homestead, located near the River Shannon in Ireland in the centre of Ireland, only 1 Km from the River Shannon. The cottage is well placed for touring Ireland. This cottage is Irish Tourist Board approved and has been lovingly restored, keeping as much as possible of the 'Old World' character of the cottage while adding all the modern comforts. The wide bridge which crosses the River Shannon to County Galway opens the way to tour the west of Ireland. Banagher is famous for its Irish music pubs, river cruises, golf courses, Bog walks and rail tours, great Fishing, Excellent super markets and shops, Restaurants, and Hotels. This is the only rental property on the farm and it has been the McDonald family home for generations. It is located close to the main farmhouse, in a nice farm garden with an orchard. Our local town Banagher welcomes visitors. There is a variety of pubs so you can enjoy a quiet drink or follow the sound of singing and traditional music which can be heard on the street to a lively pub session. On a warm night listen to the distinctive sound of the corncrake on the bridge or go on a Corncrake Evening organized by Bird watch Ireland during the summer. Heating - There is under floor heating. The heat is supplied by a air to water heat pump. Electricity is included in the price. We will pay for electricity up t0 150 euros per month. It is very unlikely that you will use more than that amount. All bed linen and towels are provided and are included in the rental price. There is a wired internet connection in the cottage and Wi-Fi is excellent also in the cottage. There is a colour TV and dining and sitting area. Other facilities: There is a patio and barbeque area at the rear of the cottage in the orchard. A kennel is provided for pets.

It is located just off the N25 and is very convenient to explore Waterford, Cork and the south of Ireland.
