The City of Jonestown earned the moniker the "Gateway to the Hill Country" for its country lifestyle whilst conveniently situated near Austin

The best time of the year to visit Jonestown for outdoor activities is from late May to late September. Consider visiting during the Jonestown Cajun Festival or the Swift Fest. Cajun Festival is a family-friendly festival held every spring in Jones Brothers Park. Swift Fest is an appreciation of hundreds of chimney swifts arriving in Jonestown in mid-March and staying through the end of September. The birds consume mass quantities of insects in the area.
