Amenities: There is a barbecue area for the complex. There is a shady pavilion by the swimming pool and tennis courts, which has washrooms, an outdoor shower, and a small book-exchange library. It is a thirty minute drive to Kona International Airport. Activities: Three tennis courts and a large swimming pool. The tennis courts are available from 7 am to 9 pm, and have night lighting. There is an onsite tennis pro available for private or group lessons.The Kona Country Club golf course is located next door to the complex, and has 36 championship holes, pro shop, driving range, restaurant and lounge. There are other golf courses to the north, and a course at the Volcano Golf and Country Club, which at 4,000 feet is the highest course in Hawaii. Distances: Oceanfront complex, located on Ali'i Drive. Five miles to the town of Kailua, with many shops, restaurants and adventure activities. Kona Country Club Golf Course is located next door. The large Keauhou Shopping Centre is located a two minute drive away. It has a total of 40 stores and restaurants, including a large grocery store, and a cinema. There is a shuttle bus to and from the shopping centre, and the Ali'i Drive Shuttle. It is about a ten minute walk to the Kahaluu Beach Park. This is a popular spot to surf and snorkle; it is frequented by turtles, and has a sheltered access for novice snorkelers. A further ten minute walk will take you to White Sands beach (a.k.a. We have stayed in a lot of vacation homes over the years and this one ranks right up with the best (and far more expensive) of them. Well appointed with an infinity pool to die for, the home made the 6 of us feel relaxed and happy when we returned from our near daily excursions. I really don't have anything negative to say at all other than we didn't want to leave. It is conveniently located to almost all the activities that one does on the island from surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, horse back riding in the Waipi'o Valley and going to visit the Volcano. We spent evenings in the pool watching the sun set and then made dinner and once again, went out poolside to enjoy our meal as the last vestiges of daylight disappeared. There is a very good grill right near the pool and a fully stocked kitchen (other than food, of course). We were able to find everything we needed to cook even the most elaborate of meals. There is even a wine fridge. All in all, this place deserves 5 stars. The home owner's guide to food, beaches, shopping and other activities was an endless supply of good information though we could add a few of our own, including Luna's Cafe in the Waipi'o Valley and Big Island Divers for the night Manta ray dive (a once in a lifetime experience for the intrepid diver or snorkeler) and Paradise Helicopter for an open door ride over the active volcano. We are sad to be home but so glad we rented this home on the island of Hawaii. Date of arrival March 26, 2016

This well appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo has a California King bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom and a comfortable full size pull-out sofabed in the living room. Brand new stainless dishwasher is installed (as all new stainless steel appliances). The condo has a flat screen TV, cable, wireless internet, and washer and dryer. The quiet lanai has seating for 6 and is planted with tropical palms including banana palms. Living room also has a wonderful hawaiian style chair in addition to the super comfy sofa. We are working on getting the photos listed and thank you for your patience. Again, the location of this complex can't be beat - across the street from a sandy beach and on the south edge of downtown Kailua-Kona on Alii Drive. The unit is in building E, a great location within the complex - close to everything (pool, beach etc), but far enough away from the main street, so very quiet.
