Lava Hot Springs Lodging

Lava Hot Springs is a city in Bannock County, Idaho, United States. Located in the mountainous valley of the Portneuf River on the old route of the Oregon Trail and California Trail, the city has become a popular resort location, noted for its numerous hot springs amenable to bathing and a turbulent inner tube run through part of the town. Accommodations and lodgings dotted around the hot springs include vacation rentals and condo rentals.

Bubbling out of natural underground springs, the hot water is laden with minerals, but has no sulfur and therefore no bad odor. Over 2.5 million gallons a day course through the hot springs and are diverted into the Portneuf River keeping the springs ever changing and clean. On cold winter days, the steam rising from the pools wrap people in a cocoon. The heated sidewalks and dressing room floors keep your toes toasty warm, even on the coldest of nights. This makes the Lava a great year round destination with many many accommodation, vacation rental and condo rental options to suit all budgets.

The hot spring parks consist of a few options. The Downtown Park has portable restrooms, playground, pavilion and picnic area. It is located at eastern edge of Lava Hot Springs, just across the street from the Hot Pools. No reservations needed.

The City Park contains a large and small pavilion with tables, public restrooms facilities, tennis courts, basketball court, baseball diamond, badminton and volleyball net, horseshoe pits, and playground. Perfect for families and no reservation is required. The Garden Park borders the east side of our Downtown Park. East Park & West Park are located adjacent to the Hot Pools with the Portneuf River on the south side. Majestic Park is located half a block from the Hot Pools above our Downtown Park. Sunken Gardens Park is located above and to the east of Hot Pools.

Lava Hot Springs with its picturesque year-round accommodation and vacation rental options is located between Salt Lake City and Yellowstone National Park. Just 11 miles east of I-15, we are a favorite stop along the way to Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons. This makes it a superb base to stay and explore the area.

    Enjoy your vacation at our bright new Sandpoint Vacation condo. We love visiting Sandpoint ourselves, and we love to share our condo with guests. This two bedroom, two bathroom condo can comfortably sleep 6. The master bedroom has a very comfortable memory foam king bed, as well as a twin daybed with a twin trundle bed (both with memory foam toppers), so a family of 4 can sleep in the Master bedroom. The master bedroom also has a TV, a DVD player and an adjoining bathroom. The second bedroom has two bedding options – it can be set up with two twin beds, or the beds can be converted into one king-sized bed for a couple. These beds also have memory foam toppers, so they are very comfortable for adults or children. There is also a queen-sized airbed available. Both bedrooms have IPOD docking clock radios. The livingroom, kitchen and dining area are open-concept, and very bright, with vaulted ceilings and huge windows overlooking the Cabinet Mountain range. Relax in our cozy leather couches in front of the fireplace and watch a movie on the HDTV with Cable TV, DVD player, and HDMI input. The mini stereo in the livingroom has an IPOD charging dock, and also has a line-in option for other mp3 players so you can listen to your own music. We have a casual dining area, with a dining table for 4, and counter stools for 4 more. The kitchen is fully-stocked, with pots, pans, blender, coffee maker, popcorn maker, and enough spices and ingredients to get you started. The patio is a lovely place for your morning coffee, or in the evening you can enjoy a barbeque supper and watch the sun set over the Cabinet mountains. We have two kids ourselves so our vacation home is very child-friendly. We have a highchair, a playpen, baby bedding and a baby monitor for those traveling with young children. We also have plastic cups, plates, bowls, and sippy cups. There is a toybox filled with toys, and boardgames, books, and dvds for both children and adults. Our condo doesn't come with a computer, but if you bring your own laptop there is a workstation with high speed wireless Internet and a printer you can use. Our condo comes with four cruiser bikes and helmets, and we are very near a bike path, so you can ride into town or into Dover. We are also located one block from a bus stop for the free 'SPOT' bus, which can take you shopping, or to the base of Schweitzer Mountain to catch the shuttle bus. Our condo is a block away from the Sandpoint West Athletic Club and Travers park, which is a huge beautiful park with kids' play structures, tennis courts, a skateboard/ BMX park, and playing fields. Our home is just one block from an espresso stand, and a few blocks from the Pine Street Bakery. It is under a mile to the downtown shops and restaurants, and just beyond that is the wonderful park at City Beach. We are one mile from the Festival at Sandpoint, and 15 minutes to Schweitzer Mountain resort. Our condo is exactly 30 minutes away from the Silverwood theme park.

    This is a great house close to North Beach and right on Payette Lake. Wonderful views all around and your own boat dock and beach area.. The cabin has three queen sized bedrooms downstairs, and one king upstairs. We have cable tv both downstairs and upstairs. Upstairs has an air conditioner and is quite large.A DVD is available, downstairs, and sporadic internet will be available during the summer. The cabin has a wood burning fireplace, a dishwasher, a charcoal barbecue, and a private dock. It is in an exclusive area, with gorgeous east views from the vintage log cabin living room, and kitchen, which is six houses down from North Beach. We have a walk in shower, downstairs, and a half bath upstairs, and one downstairs. The cabin is a rustic and original house on Payette Lake. Of the 3 queen beds downstairs, two of them are small. Big master upstairs with AIR CONDITIONING. This is a great cabin but it is not a modern newly built house on the lake. It does have small bedrooms. It also has beautiful lake views, a fantastic outdoor patio, a private dock and your own beach space.
