Logan in Cache County, Utah is located only 85 miles north of Salt Lake City in a pristine, green valley along US Hwy 89, the shortest and most scenic route to Yellowstone. Visitors intrigued by Logan's rich history will want to visit the Jensen Historical Farm at the American West Heritage Center. The farm is a living history museum, set in 1917. All the traditional ways are closely followed, and guests are invited to jump back in time and learn about food preservation, sheep shearing, quilting, hay making, threshing, and more.

Logan is home to the Utah Festival Opera, which hosts a number of performances through the year. The Ellen Eccles Theatre shows concerts, community theater, ballet, and classic movies, and it also hosts national touring companies. The Alliance for the Varied Arts hosts numerous "Gallery Walk" events throughout the year in which participating businesses in historic downtown Logan. The Summerfest Arts Faire is held annually at the Logan Tabernacle grounds on Father's Day Weekend and celebrates the arts through a fine art/fine craft festival with music, food and children's activities.

Utah State University hosts many artistic and cultural events, including traveling art galleries, symphony performances, plays and public lectures.

Logan hosts a farmers' market every Saturday from May thru October. Named one of America's best farmers' markets in 2009, the "Cache Valley Gardeners' Market" is located at Merlin Olsen Park. Over twenty years old, the market is known as a gathering place for the sale of fresh, local produce, coffee, artisan breads, eggs, home crafted gift items, art, children's activities and also for weekly concerts.

It overlooks large pastures with the Sevier River meandering throughout, where you can watch cattle roam in the summer, as well as spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the back of Bryce Canyon (Paunsagunt Cliffs) which is right in front of the house. Most windows in the house have a breathtaking view, hence the name "Lookout". The property sits on 3.5 private acres with private Sevier River frontage for fishing. The river is known for 3 kinds of trout that are restocked periodically by the local fish hatchery. The property has just completed an extensive remodel with new hardwood and tile flooring throughout, exceptional tile walk in showers with windows, granite countertops, automatic espresso and coffee maker (coffee provided), stainless steel kitchen appliances etc. It has been decorated in a trendy modern urban industrial style using reclaimed accent pieces, local antiques and custom metal artwork from local craftsmen. Of course high speed wireless internet is provided as well as Netflix and Amazon Video service (no broadcast, cable or satellite channels), as well as Pandora for music and ambiance. The Lookout is around 1800 sf. There is one full bathroom downstairs, where the kitchen and large family / dining room are located. Note that the Lookout does not have air conditioning, as summers do not get very hot at the higher elevation in Hatch, but all windows have screens so they can be opened to take advantage of the breeze. You will enjoy a good night rest in eery silence. If you're from the big city, it will take some getting used to. The property is equipped with state-of-the-art electronic locks so that guests can check themselves in at any time, and late check-in is not a problem. Guests have access to the entire house, and can roam freely on the 3.5 acres as well as fish (with a Utah fishing license, that can be purchased online) and swim in the Sevier River. 4x4 or high clearance is useful in order to enjoy the surrounding trails, but a regular low-clearance sedan is sufficient to access the house itself. INSIDE THE TOWNHOUSE Our townhome has 2 bedrooms, each on opposite sides of this spacious rental for enhanced privacy. Located through the main living area, the master bedroom has a dreamy king-sized bed and an attached bath with a shower and double vanity. The 2nd bedroom, down the hall past the kitchen, has 2 queen-sized beds plus its own bathroom. And this bathroom is truly exceptional: you’ll find a jetted soaker tub and a separate walk-in amazing after the slopes or trails. This bathroom also has a double vanity so you don’t have to arm wrestle for sink space. A third sleeping option is the fold-out sofa in the living area, which sleeps 2 more. The living area is warmed by a gas fireplace and features plush furniture (including the sofa bed) for gathering around the flames. A mounted flat-screen TV means kids—and adults, for that matter!—won’t get bored in the evening. Access a balcony with seating for 5 through the sliding glass doors in the living area. From here, you can survey Bear Creek Village. Adjacent to the living area is the high-top dining area for 6, right in view of the pines and mountains in the distance. Four more people can sit right next to the dining table at the kitchen bar. The kitchen is also open to the rest of the space, and features top-of-the-line everything, like stainless steel appliances (including gas stove and dishwasher) and granite countertops.
