Lost Trail Powder Mountain is an alpine ski area located along the Montana-Idaho border
at the junction of US Highway 93 and Montana State Highway 43 at Lost Trail Pass, about one mile northwest of Chief Joseph Pass. It is a family owned-and-operated resort offers a ski and snowboard experience with rustic accommodations, vacation rentals, condo rentals and chalet rentals.
The summit elevation of the mountain is 8200 feet (2500 m) with a vertical drop of 1800 feet (550 m). The main base area, which includes the parking lot and lodge, is at 7000 feet (2135 m) and in Montana, as are the majority of the runs.
Chairlift #1 runs approximately along the Idaho-Montana border; the terrain to its south, including Chairlift #2, is in Idaho.

Hamilton features a number of other handsome old homes and public buildings including the Ravalli County Museum, which is housed in the Old Ravalli County Court House, and the City Hall.

Fishing, with the exception of many mountain lakes and streams, primary fishing spots include Silver Lake, Georgetown Lake, Echo Lake, Warm Springs Creek and the Big Hole River.
The Works Golf Course is a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course.
There is also a local country club and an 18 hole championship golf course located at Fairmont Hot Springs. The annual Winter Getaway dart tournament held in several local establishments draws as the largest regional dart tournament in the State of Montana. The Copper Village Museum and Arts Center provides visitors and residents with art and history of the local area.
