It is located about just 6 KM from the historic centre of the charming, age-old Norman town of Cefalu, and combines the natural scenic beauty and peacefulness of the countryside with direct access to the sea. The Villa is very quiet and peaceful for most of the year, although in the summertime the beach attracts many visitors for its natural beauty, its soft sands and its safe bathing: this is Salinelle beach, among the most scenically beautiful of Cefalu. The area offers markets, pizzerias, restaurants, pubs, beach lidos, to mention just a few of the offerings available. Further details indoors: The Villa itself has two floors. On the first is the entrance hall, the living room (containing a double sofa-bed), a delightfully traditional kitchen with attractive brickwork and a bathroom with shower. The second floor has 3 rooms with double beds (one of which can be separated into 2 singles), another bathroom with shower and a single bed located on the landing. It is located inside an ancient baglio, a typical Sicilian rural courtyard enclosed with a large door, at the centre of which lies a mulberry tree. On two levels and covering 100 square meters, the house opens onto a large living room with two couches, a comfortable dining table and a beautiful kitchen that although open on one side, has an autonomous space, comfortable and organized. There are two bedrooms, both spacious and bright and both overlooking a magnificent olive grove. The largest has a double bed (160 x 200), the second two single beds that you can put side by side if you want. In both there is space for a cot. A stone staircase leads from the living room to the large loft, where you find another living area usable as a third bedroom for 2/3 people. Here there is a sofa bed (140x 200) and space for an extra bed. This area leads to a lovely terrace (15 sq m) on the roof of the baglio where you can have breakfast with the morning sun, sunbathe in privacy or enjoy the cool of the evening. The house has two large and elegant bathrooms, both with a shower, one on the ground floor and one in the loft area. The entrance of the house overlooks the courtyard of the baglio and in the space reserved in front of it you can relax on a sun lounger or dine by candlelight. The house is the result of a recent restoration using recycled materials such as ancient stones and railings, and the choice of handmade terracotta for the floors and chestnut beams for the ceilings, give the house a particular charm. The house was built in the years 2001 - 2002 and after our retirement we spend about 1/3 of the year here. The whole area is a quiet and relaxing place and the rental apartment is suitable for one or two couples who want to experience a relaxed and comfortable holiday in a secluded location with no “keep going”. There are many lovely beaches in the area. Two very nice beaches are below the house, the Agia Triada beaches. The nearest is located in about 10 minutes walking distance - a quite beach which you often can have all by yourself. The other part of the beach, you can walk to in about 15 minutes. This part of the beach is bigger and more frequented. The nearest villages are Koroni and Charakopió where you can find most of what you need for daily life. The olive groves that surround the house has endlessly walking paths and you can walk to Koroni at just over half an hour. The house is an excellent base for exploring the Peloponnese, which has many archaeological/historical sites such as Ancient Messene, Sparta, Mystras and Olympia, all perfectly reasonable to reach during a day.

In the dinette there is a sofa bed, table with chairs, fridge, microwave, and the kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils/pots and pans a cook may need; as well as with salt, pepper, sugar, standard spices, plastic wrap, wine glasses, corkscrew, tea pot, kettle, roasting pan, paper towels, washing liquid, garbage bags, dish cloths and towels, everything you will need for your vacation. The accommodation is equipped with ceiling fan, Internet Wi Fi, Satellite TV, library. The summer evenings are a perfect temperature for eating outdoors. There is a shady area to protect you from the midday sun and keep it fresh and cool on the terrace. There is an outdoor sink. There are beautiful views of the countryside from the terrace.

    The vacation rental is situated in Bournazel, a village close to the bastide town of Cordes sur Ciel. The house, a converted old barn, has 4 main bedrooms and sleeps 8/10 people. Come and enjoy the medieval hilltop towns in the surrounding countryside, canoe down the L'Aveyron River, go wine-tasting in the local vineyards, climb to the top of a castle, shop at local markets, or simply laze around the pool (shared only with the owners), enjoy the private garden and take in the spectacular views of the valley. Our luxury vacation rental house, is a sympathetically restored old barn next to the farmhouse where we live. The house has retained its rustic charm and there are many old walls, rock surfaces, nooks and crannies, old doors and beams throughout the house. However, it has all the comforts of a modern house with new bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a DVD player, TV and WIFI. The accommodation consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, an outside dining area, a living room, a play-room and a down-stairs WC. There is a crib available. We can provide optional extras such as evening meals, baby-sitting, and a taxi service to local restaurants so you can all enjoy the local wine. The area of the Tarn is beautiful. Drive through vine-yards, fields of sunflowers, forests and explore the beauty and history this part of France has to offer. Dramatic Cathar castles perch dramatically on cliff tops, overlooking the surrounding rivers and valleys. Markets sell local produce which make your mouth water. Our favourite market is St. Antonin market where the movie 'One Hundred Foot Journey' was filmed; And where better to enjoy the countryside then from your own terrace, sipping a cold glass of rosé, watching the sunset over the golden hills.
