Located in Southern Italy, Molise is a region that is bordered by Abruzzo to the north, and Campania to the south. A variety condo rental, villa rental, and apartment rental accommodations are available in the traditional Italian style.

While Molise does not have major access to inland water bodies for the most part, it touches the Adriatic Sea along its northeast border. Anyone wanting to enjoy sandy Italian beaches can do so by doing a bit of travelling. You will have to leave your vacation rental for a while but it will be well worth it. When you choose from our selection of villas and vacation rentals in Molise, you are certain to get a relaxing getaway with your family or friends.

If you are looking to immerse yourself in rich Italian history head on down to the regional capital, Campobasso. The town is known for being a cultural hotspot and providing tourists with unforgettable experiences. Check out the Monforte castle, a structure that has towered over the town since it was built in the fifteenth century. Though earthquakes in the fifteenth and nineteenth centuries forced some parts of the castle to be rebuilt, the events only added to the intrigue and distinctness of the architecture.

If you happen to find yourself with a vacation rental accommodation during the winter holiday season, make sure to attend one of the area’s unique festivals. The Ndocciate is an ancient Christmas festival celebrated in Molise, more specifically in Agnone. Hundreds of participants dressed in traditional costumes gather to carry the “ndocce” (torches) through the main streets. The event creates a powerful visual effect and to anyone looking from far away the parade looks like a river of fire flowing through the center of the city. Mark the 24th of December and leave your villa rental to witness the river of flame for yourself. And since the temperature does not usually go below three degrees Celsius in December, vacation rentals and apartment rentals can provide a comfortable and fun vacation even during winter.

If music is your interest, then head down to Scapoli where sits a museum dedicated entirely to bagpipes, or if you want to see more architecture and historical sites, don’t miss out on the town of Sepino that offers a glance at the ruins of ancient Roman buildings. Regardless of where you choose to rent your villa rental or apartment rental, there will be plenty of towns nearby to visit.

At Owners Direct we offer the best selections of condo rentals, villa rentals, apartment rentals and any other kind of lodging and accommodation. Book one of our beautiful vacation rentals and accommodations today.

  • Defined by the Times!

    Ostuni: Country style house
    3 BDR • 2 BA • Sleeps 6 • #247264
    270 to 315 EUR/night
Where modern comforts live in harmony with nature and tradition – a newly constructed trullo property reflecting the historic purpose and custom of the original “trullo” buildings – located strategically between the four market towns of the Valle d’Itria – Ostuni, Martina Franca, Ceglie Messapica and Cisternino – within 8 hectares of private grounds. Family & Friends This trullo is ideal for six people – two couples with their own independent accommodation or a young family with two children, travelling with friends or grandparents, wishing to holiday together but with the benefit of their own private space. The trullo interiors: The property is comprised of two independent units, sleeping 4 and 2 respectively, each self-contained with kitchen and bath/shower room. 1 – The larger of the units, the principal trullo sleeps 4, made up of six cones, one of which has an expressive truncated top with a round hole; many years ago this would have been covered with a movable circular slab, to access grain, hay or straw stored inside. (Today it serves to give additional light and ventilation). The trullo is comprised as follows: the main entrance leads to an open plan living area with working fireplace, dining for 6 and kitchen plus two bedrooms, a double & a twin, each with built-in wardrobes and drawer units, guests share a bathroom. 2 – The second trullo accommodation, ideal for two (a child’s cot may be added) has conjoined trulli cones with a wooden mezzanine created within the conical roof above the beams. Once upon a time, this would have been used to hide family belongings & possessions or as it has been suggested, even secret admirers. The trullo accommodation is spacious and comfortable for two adults. The conjoined trulli have been adapted to accommodate a double bed, built-in wardrobe with kitchen corner, shower room and dining/seating area. With a log stove, ideal for cosy winter nights. The trullo exteriors: The adjoining trullo accommodations with their conical roofs are accessible by an outside stairway built into the roof, which you can also see on the façade of the second trullo. Traditionally, atop of the trullo you would find the stonemason’s signature, a handmade sand stone pinnacle which could be a disk, ball, cone, bowl, polyhedron, or a combination thereof. If you look closely at the photos you will be able to see the pinnacles of this trullo. Surrounding the trullo there are 8 hectares of olive orchards, shrubland and a variety of fruit trees. The grounds immediately surrounding the trullo have been laid with grass and Mediterranean plants and shrubs. **Within the grounds of this Trullo there is also a modernly styled farmhouse which is unoccupied during any period that guests are in residence at the Trullo. The infinity swimming pool – salt based – 12 x 6 metres with a maximum depth of 2.4 metres – is detached from the trullo property and behind the farmhouse. For the safety and protection of guests, there is an automated fabric pool cover available. Comfortable sun loungers for all the guests and umbrellas by the poolside. For guests convenience, there are two showers available, one solar power driven and external, and a second shower room with toilet facilities. *Swimming pool is closed from January to May and from October to December. During summer season, probably, swimming pool could be shared (from 3rd August to 30th August) with owners.

Description Bring your sketchbooks, writing paper & pencils and be prepared to get inspired. Puglia like many hidden gems around the world has been a well-kept secret until recent years. Once upon a time, Puglia was the holiday destination of the northern Italian families seeking recluse from their daily city lives. Today, Puglia, although largely unspoilt and untouched by tourism, is becoming the new destination for Europeans & North Americans. Last September the New York Times wrote about the “The ancient allure of Puglia”. The London Evening Standard reported on the “Wild Beaches” of Puglia, The Washington Post, Forbes and Travel and Leisure.Com, to name but a few also had their views and hints as to where, what and why you must visit Puglia. Whilst a few journalist’s articles may give you an appetite to learn more, there is nothing like seeing Puglia with your own eyes. We offer you this villa as a base to explore the region of Puglia; discover for yourself the legendary wine and food; soak up the warm sunshine for the best part of the year; and melt in the embrace of its volatile history & architectural side effects. Location A short distance from the nearest beaches, this home provides a country setting whilst being both accessible to the private beaches (lido) and the old “White City” of Ostuni. 104 to 218 EUR/night
Authentic Trullo Style - this Trullo is a small group of reclaimed abandoned trulli cones, restored over a decade, as a weekend hobby undertaken by its owner; wishing to recover the past and bring the trullo with graceful simplicity, into the future. The allure of this Trullo is the location in which it resides; along a silent country road, surrounded by nature, overlooking the vineyards and wide-open wheat fields. Little by little the owner has put the pieces together, from ancient stones left behind, others re-found, forming niches and alcoves, to create a homely trullo accommodation for a small family or two couples or perhaps a group of friends. The addition of a large courtyard and swimming pool, all within a fenced in and secured area; offering a private and restful ambient to its occupants, a brief separation from the every-day routine. Location In the heart of the Itria Valley,a valley topped with white washed towns, and quintessential villages and hamlets; neighboured by the Adriatic Seas to the East and the Ionian Seas to the west. The Itria Valley, with five main towns, is the central part of Puglia, making it a fitting place from hence to visit the area during your holidays. Alberobello is famous for its trulli population, they say there are more than one thousand in a concentrated expanse; Locorotondo, the quaint whitewashed round town also known for its white wine; Martina Franca, elegant and poised with a deep reputation for its ‘capocollo’; Cisternino, listed as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy with narrow streets and alleys, decorated balconies and stairs all leading to the main Piazza of boutiques and niche restaurants; and Ostuni, friendly and lively with panoramic scenery of the Adriatic Coast. Friends and Family The trullo is endearing, a charming crash pad for a couple or couples wishing to explore the area and return to the trullo to relax in the hypnotic evening sun. For young families, the poolside is a welcome distraction for many hours of fun. Interiors Warm, modest and cosy. The bedrooms are compact with full sized double in one, night tables for bed time reading, a niche for hanging summer dresses and a set of drawers. The twin room (could be used equally as a double if pushed together) has plenty of hanging space in the alcove and night tables. The kitchen corner is well equipped with dishwasher, and full-sized fridge. A small dining area in the lounge as a back-up for cooler nights when dining outside is not an option. The lounge area has a small TV with Italian channels, sofa bed (could sleep one) and two arm chairs. Wireless internet indoors. Exteriors Holiday essentials include a swimming pool and this Trullo will not disappoint. The fresh stone faced trullo and modern 10 x 5m pool (2 metres at the deepest end), compliment the setting. A main courtyard faces the entrance and a gazebo to the side for outside dining next to the stone BBQ and pizza oven. The poolside is private and enclosed with stone wall to the rear giving it full protection and foliage to the front and sides ensuring total privacy; a hide-out for grownups and an entertaining haven for children. This Trullo is the owner's passion, the result of years of hard work and love. He’s created a peaceful corner of Puglia with his hands, with an eye for tradition and simple living. C.I.S. 2 BDR • 2 BA • Sleeps 4 • #247303
    178 to 208 EUR/night
Description Trullo with its lamia sidekick. Two contrasts and two different atmospheres that are linked to provide two bedrooms with extra comfort, space and light; a unique shape that works delightfully for its guests. The overflow is its special strength, not just a poolside but an extension of the homestead. Walled terrace, ornate gardens with a splash of colour, vivid during the day and restful by night surround the magnetic infinity pool. An amazing surprise to be found once you enter the high walls that encircle and make this Trullo truly private. Location An island in the silent countryside of Putignano and Turi. This is farming country on the doorstep of a thriving town, Putignano, most noted for having one of the oldest carnivals in Europe (first edition was in 1394) and for its long carnival season; beginning on St Stephen’s Day, 26th of December, and concludes on Shrove Tuesday. The village of Turi by contrast gets its popularity by having held a notable person in detention once upon a time. We prefer to celebrate its prolific production of cherries. Friends & Family A place just for kids, friends, family; somewhere to take refuge for 4 people, wanting to be far away from everything. Interiors Two bedrooms, the main bedroom is a double with a pool outlook; the second has a double pull out sofa bed. Two shower rooms. Modern equipped kitchen with conservatory or outside dining, seating area in the trullo. Air con in the lamia. Exteriors The canopy for dining, relaxing, staring into the blue skies. Catching moments that are special, to be remembered when the holidays are but memories. The gardens play with design and architecture, creating special views of the garden, the pool and the trulli cones. This is a special retreat where you will want to return to, year after year. It will carve into your heart and you will want to see how it transforms, what becomes of it. C.I.S. - BA07203691000004739
