Tourism is growing quickly in Nicaragua, meaning that there is not only an abundance of things to see and do, but also much more easily accessible accommodations as well. In some of the major cities, like Granada, Leon and San Juan Del Sur, a number of bars, clubs and restaurants are popping up. Vacation rentals are also becoming quite abundant here.

The climate in Nicaragua varies across the region, with hotter temperatures in the lowlands, and cooler temperatures in the highlands. The dry season is November to April is also quite hot, while there is a very wet and cool season from May to October. The mountainous regions can be much cooler than the rest of the country, while the coasts also experience the occasional hurricane. Be sure to book your accommodations during the season that makes the most sense for you.
