North Vancouver Accommodations
Where the mountains meet the sea, North Vancouver is a city like no other and remains one of British Columbia, Canada’s hidden gems. Vancouver's North Shore teems with things to do whether you're athletic and adventurous or more intent on cultural pursuits.
North Vancouver is unsurpassed when it comes to outdoor adventure. Hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, golf, and winter sports are favorite pastimes in this city nestled in the mountains. There are three ski hills located within a short drive from the city centre: Grouse Mountain, Cypress Mountain, and Mount Seymour. All three are easily accessed and offer terrain to suit a range of abilities.
And the mountain adventure doesn’t stop there. North Vancouver is home to eye-popping wonders like the 137m Capilano Suspension Bridge that sways 70m above the Capilano River and leads to Treetops Adventure, where you can wander through the forest canopy along seven suspension bridges 30m above the forest floor. A swaying tram takes skiers and sightseers up Grouse Mountain affording jaw-dropping views of Vancouver and the ocean which extends beyond.
If the ocean is more your thing, then a day spent in Deep Cove is in order. Ocean kayaks, canoes and surf skis can be rented hourly, daily and/or for multi-day adventures. Sign up for a lesson or a guided tour.
