favorite_borderManitoulin Island: Duplex with occupied suite2 BDR • 1 BA • Sleeps 4 • #247360150 to 150 CAD/nightOur private two bedroom waterfront guest house is centrally located between the historic mill town of Kagawong location of Bridal Veil Falls and the very pretty harbor town of Gore Bay. Our guest house is on our 40 acre 1 km waterfront hobby farm. The accommodations are clean modern and spacious. The 2 bedroom 2 level suite attached to the main house is privately on the west side. All main floor picture windows face south towards the lake. The second level bedrooms have windows towards the south, west and north and are kept cool with cross ventilation breezes off the lake. There is a private patio, BBQ and outside dining area exclusively for the guest house. Use the 2 kayaks and water toys on the beach. Enjoy the clean air, clean water and getting away from traffic. Watch for the deer, they come out to the fields at dusk and go back into the forest early in the morning. Usually we will have a family of Sandhill cranes in our fields. Always humming birds and in the early summer brightly coloured Baltimore Orioles. There is a family of chipmunks that call our wood pile home and they compete with the red squirrels for strawberries in the garden once they are discovered. Our beach is on the unpopulated side of Lake Kagawong so you have at least a mile of lake shore to explore mostly sandy with a gradual slope into the lake which makes it especially safe for children. Manitoulin is well known as a cycling, hiking and sailing destination with many festivals all season long. We hope you come to visit.
