The climate varies somewhat in the Okanagan. As expected, the North Okanagan can be cooler than the South Okanagan. Despite this, the Okanagan is considered to have the mildest winter temperatures in Canada. Summers are hot and sunny. This climate allows for vacation rental opportunities in any season. In winter the mountains east and west of the Okanagan Valley get heavy snowfalls, which provide excellent conditions for various winter recreation activities including skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, skating, and tobogganing. Summer is a popular season in the Okanagan. Attractions include wineries and vineyards, fruit-laden orchards, and plenty of summer recreation sports such as boating, swimming, fishing, golfing and hiking. Don't forget your sunscreen! Temperatures have been known to reach thirty-five to forty degrees Celsius on a summer day. Residents and tourists flock to the many beaches for relief from the heat. Kelowna tends to be the most popular choice for tourists, but a short drive in any direction will be well worth the trip. West of Kelowna across the bridge is West Kelowna. Here you will find the famous and breath taking winery Mission Hill, as well as smaller ones such as Quails' Gate and Mt. Boucherie. Southwest of Kelowna you will find the quaint lakefront town of Peachland with excellent restaurants, shops, beaches and parks. Further south you will find the city of Penticton . This city lies between the Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake. Rent an inflated tube and spend an afternoon floating down the canal that connects the two. Penticton has great beaches, restaurants, cafes, wineries and vineyards, and more. Condo rentals and other accommodations are readily available in this beachy city. On the Southern border of the Okanagan region is Osoyoos. Swim, water-ski, wakeboard, fish, sail, or paddle in one of British Columbia's warmest lakes, Osoyoos Lake.

North of Kelowna is the city of Vernon and towns of Lake Country, Armstrong and Enderby. The North Okanagan has smaller but equally as beautiful lakes. Lake and yard access from the house from the main level is via a short flight of stairs from the elevated front deck or from the basement level walkout which opens onto the yard and lake. This two level vacation home can sleep eight people maximum. We allow a maximum of four adults ( 18) and up to four children ( 18) or 6 adults and up to 2 kids. It is great spot for two-three couples or two small families. Upper deck is Covered, Lower Level Deck is not covered, Large Dock, Mooring Buoy for Your Boat with optional boat lift (additional rates apply for use). Note: Linens and Towels are not supplied for the beds. Pillow, duvets and duvet covers are supplied for the three queen beds.
