You can also walk to Penticton on the trail , parking a little ways up from Hillside winery.You can see colorful front street and enjoy a lunch on one of the patios there or Laleshore drive. There is a large Saturday market you may enjoy. Naramata also has a market 330 to 630 Wednesdays and its just by Warf Park, hop skip and a jump from this home. Hoodooadventures have some cool activities for the adventures at Chute Lake , they also have beer wine and food, 30 minute drive from here , up the mountain. Sunsup paddle board shop have boards , bikes for rent or to buy, lessons as well. Check out there clothing as well. Shades of Linen has gorgeous linen and more clothing for ladies and men. Our general store has a liquor store and post office and a deli and basic groceries and the cheerful staff.And helpful. Please be patient , they get really busy and there are lineups at times. Above all we have magnificent wineries and some serve lunch and dinner. Bring back some Naramata wine and enjoy your precious time on a fantastic deck and have a bbq here. I work part time in my self contained garage at the Naramata salon and barber. In certain situations , the Salon can be used for a spare space , it connects to the first floor It has a full bathroom, larger groups please inquire. We also have 2 dogs that are with me always. The basement is private but unlocked in case of an emergency and you blow a breaker. I have been renting this house for 17 years as a vacationers, if there is something you need, or needs repaired or what have you , please ask I want my guests to have the most enjoyable holiday . The owner was super accommodating of us, we were able to bring our dogs as well. The house is beautiful, and everything is in pristine condition. Lots of great areas for us to eat and hang out as a group, and tons of room in the kitchen for preparing meals. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the backyard, which features multiple levels for dining, sunbathing, and a small yard for the dogs. The hot tub is as an added bonus once the sun goes down and things start to cool. The bedrooms were all a decent size, but the real winner was the master bedroom. It features a gorgeous ensuite, with a double vanity and amazing shower. The house comes with pretty much everything you could need - towels, toiletries, and all the necessary cooking utensils. They were even kind enough to leave us some breakfast food in the fridge. I found this really made a huge difference for the convenience of our stay, as some rentals I have stayed in are very bare bones. My only note, and a minor one at that, was that they came by mid-way during our stay to water the plants. They let us know ahead of time that she would, but we would have happily done it ourselves for the extra privacy. Overall, our stay was great and I would definitely love to come back here. The owner has been very friendly and great at communicating with us to make sure we had everything we need. 10/10 would recommend. ___________________________________________________ Mason. There are restaurants as well as grocery stores and a liquor, wine and cold beer store a short drive away. Fintry Provincial Park is quite the historical site. They have tours through both the original Manor House/Museum and the octagonal cow barn, that was ahead of it's time 100 years ago, which has been rebuilt. Yes, those cows were stylin' 100 years ago. From the barn there is a hike up to Shorts Creek Falls where The Laird of Fintry, James Cameron Dun-Waters, also created some of the first electricity in the Okanagan.For Fintry Delta. Sugarloaf Mountain, a couple of miles to the north, is also a nice hike, though a bit longer. Terrace Mountain, the highest peak in the Okanagan, is close by and an interesting drive to the top where you can see the whole Valley from Kelowna to Vernon. There is also a nice walk waiting right outside your door around the neighbourhood or pathways through the forest. There are Adirondak chairs and a picnic table, with an umbrella, on the large dock. On the beach is also a picnic table as well as benches around a nice fire pit with firewood close by. It is a nice quiet spot where you won't hear traffic but maybe the chirping of birds in the morning or maybe a loon chanting in the evening as well as this year's ducklings or goslings swimming with their new proud parents during the day. You may also see some deer on or around the property. If you're an early riser you could watch a sunrise across the lake coming up behind Silver Star Mountain, on the other side of Vernon. The sun is on the dock until early evening when it goes behind the mountains in the west when you can kick back, relax and review all the fun you had that day
