How to Get Here & Getting Around - If you’re flying in, you’ll most likely be arriving at the Kelowna International Airport, which is 20 minutes from the city center. If you’re driving, travel routes leading to the Okanagan from any direction is extremely beautiful! Highway 97 is the main north-south highway. From there, the connections to east-west includes Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1), Crowsnest or Southern Trans-Provincial Highway (Hwy 3), and Highway 97C (Okanagan Connector).

Hwy 97 intersects with US Route 97, which begins in northern California. Once you’re in BC, the highway runs straight north and south from the US-Canada border at Osoyoos BC all the way to the Yukon-BC border at Watson Lake.

As always, the best way to see all the sights is by car. Aside from that, tour the place by foot, by riding your bike, or riding the Greyhound bus.

When to Go - The hot, dry summer is peak season here, and weekends can get crowded. Visit during the fall, when farmer’s markets brim with local produce and summer crowds have dispersed. September is also a great month for a wine-tasting trip.

On Kettle Valley Railroad trail: gorgeous lake views, vineyards, trestle bridges and orchards. KVR Trail is right across the road . Public Pool at Community Centre is a 5 minute drive. The property is located at the beginning of the Naramata Bench where you can visit some of the best vineyards in the Okanagan. In fact the closest winery, Perseus is only 25 metres away. Munson Mountain is 1 kilometre which offers spectacular views of Okanagan Lake, Skaha Lake and Penticton and Naramata. Parking: One parking spot is included for each Suite; Second parking spot may be available @ $20/ stay. It is easiest and safest to drive in and park close to fence. When leaving, reverse your vehicle towards Gateway, and drive out using other Gateway. Please. No parking outside cedars for you or your visitors. Our suite has been fully renovated and 2016-2017 was the first season we offered our Canadian winter retreat for guests. This tranquil, very private and fully furnished 750 square foot suite has its own entrance, private hot tub (new for 2018-2019 season). Our view looks directly into the forest and then up and over the trees to Christmas Bowl ski area. Flat large driveway has lots of room for two guest cars. We are the owners of the house and will ensure that you have a quiet, comfortable stay. As avid skiers ourselves, we have designed the suite to accommodate the needs of skiers of all types. The mudroom/entrance foyer has plenty of room for clothes, helmets and and boots and with a baseboard heater located directly under the bench, clothing and boots dry quickly. Comfortable beds with duvet bedding, newly renovated bathrooms with heated floors make this a one of a kind ski experience. We had a local artist paint one wall of the living room with a tree scene- her soft tree wall mural pulls the forest into our home. We pride ourselves on keeping this suite in impeccable condition and we know you will enjoy the view from the many windows in the living room and kitchen nook. The kitchen has a heated floor, alder kitchen cabinets and is fully equipped with cooking and baking utensils. The full-sized refrigerator makes ice cubes. We have complimentary internet, cable and wifi access. The private hot tub (seats four) is on the suite deck for the sole use of the suite occupants, set to 40 C -104F and is great way to relax after skiing. Great place for 1-2 couples or a family with children. Flat 5 minute walk from the suite to the top of Tube-Town and the top of the beginner runs of the Silver Queen chair. Cross-country skiers- Silver Star is known for its many km of trails and you can also start your nordic skiing from directly in front of the house. To access the ski trails, it is an easy five minute walk to the top of Silver Queen or Silver Woods chair( where you can access both downhill and nordic ski trails) or you can walk down our snow-path to the multipurpose ski trail in front of our house, which will take you to the Village in less than five minutes. The complimentary hill shuttle can also pick you up and drop you off from the front driveway. (The shuttle leaves the village on the 1/2 and full hour). We are very proud of our new suite and are looking forward to sharing it with you.

Location: With ski-in ski-out accessibility, it's easy to get out there on time for that champagne powder that this beautiful mountain is known for, and be back to enjoy your après ski. Ski out 450m down Snowpines road to the ski trail leading to Ridge Rocket, Snowghost or the Plaza Chairs. The Ridge Day lodge also located by the lifts has a ticket office. The ski-in is very close to our chalet, 85m for advanced skiers to enter directly from the rear of the property and you won't need to take your skis off until you get to the door. Great Okanagan Beer Festival
(May): Nestled on the beautiful beaches of Okanagan Lake and right in the heart of the city of Kelowna, Waterfront Park will become host to 30+ breweries, pouring beers from across North America and the World.
