    Our house is located in Messinia on the Peloponnese about 2 km from Koroni, 50 km from Kalamata and 300 km from Athens. The villa is beautifully situated in a 4500 sqm large olive grove with 70 olive trees that provides us with the finest olive oil you can imagine. Due to its high location, you have a fantastic view over the Messinian Gulf and the Mani Peninsula with the Taigetos mountains (about 2400 meters above sea level) in the background. Also the surroundings offer a spectacular view. There are two separate apartments. Upstairs is our own private holiday home and the ground floor is available for rental. The two floors are connected by outside stairs, there is no indoor connection between the apartments. The property is equipped according to Swedish standard and you will find everything you need here for a comfortable stay. We love this area and our house. The house was built in the years 2001 - 2002 and after our retirement we spend about 1/3 of the year here. The whole area is a quiet and relaxing place and the rental apartment is suitable for one or two couples who want to experience a relaxed and comfortable holiday in a secluded location with no “keep going”. There are many lovely beaches in the area. Two very nice beaches are below the house, the Agia Triada beaches. The nearest is located in about 10 minutes walking distance - a quite beach which you often can have all by yourself. The other part of the beach, you can walk to in about 15 minutes. This part of the beach is bigger and more frequented. The nearest villages are Koroni and Charakopió where you can find most of what you need for daily life. The olive groves that surround the house has endlessly walking paths and you can walk to Koroni at just over half an hour. The house is an excellent base for exploring the Peloponnese, which has many archaeological/historical sites such as Ancient Messene, Sparta, Mystras and Olympia, all perfectly reasonable to reach during a day.

In the area there are 4-5 other houses belonging to local families. The house is 100 m2 in total. The main house on the first level has an open kitchen with dining and sitting area, two bedrooms and a bathroom, surrounded by large terraces. There is also a place for breakfast and lunch under a big oak tree with a view to the sea. The third bedroom is situated on the ground level and has a private w.C and shower, accommodates two persons. There is also a third shower situated outdoor. The house is only 5 km away from the port and around 10 km from the main town Ioulis. There is also a path leading to Ioulis which is around half an hour walking distance. On the island there are several signed paths, some of them old (since ancient times). One of the most well known and beautiful is the path leading to the Karthea ancient city. The nearest beach is Yialiskari around 4.5 km away, but there are plenty beautiful beaches around the island. You'll find super markets, pharmacy, taverns and bars on the port, the main village and the other villages as well. There is public transportation from the port to the main town Ioulis, and taxis, but it's necessary to rent a car to go to the beaches and visit the island.You can rent a car (or a motor bike) either at the Athens International Airport or at the island . The Roukounas Hill, (Fotimari) as is the name of the location is a peaceful place where you can rest, surrounded by beautiful landscape, overlooking the sea, away from the busy port or the main town, where you can also combine night life in the nearby Vourkari and/or Ioulis or the port. The area of Phylakopi is a fertile small valley at the northern part of the island where various prehistoric cities repeatedly flourished between 3000 and 1000 BC. Milos is proud of having more than 72 beaches. Some of the nicest ones are close by. You may enjoy long walks around the area, or if you have your own transportation means you may easily visit all interesting spots of Milos.     The Apartments are built in three separate blocks around our attractive swimming pool. Some apartments have large front and back verandas and the four first-floor ones have large balconies. Each apartment can sleep up to three people and has a separate kitchen with a cooking hob, fridge, sink, kettle, plates, cups, saucers and utensils. All the bathrooms have a shower, a sink unit, mirror and W.C. And the bedrooms are fitted with wardrobes and dressing tables. All apartments either overlook the swimming pool On site is our terrace restaurant, overlooking the swimming pool where we serve hot and cold drinks during the day, as well as breakfast and snacks. Here you can enjoy Greek and continental cuisine using our home-produced vegetables and eggs. The area around the infinity swimming pool is fully tiled; sun beds and umbrellas are complimentary to our staying guests. A safe toddler section is included in the swimming pool and steps are provided for adult access to the water.
