We have stayed in a lot of vacation homes over the years and this one ranks right up with the best (and far more expensive) of them. Well appointed with an infinity pool to die for, the home made the 6 of us feel relaxed and happy when we returned from our near daily excursions. I really don't have anything negative to say at all other than we didn't want to leave. It is conveniently located to almost all the activities that one does on the island from surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, horse back riding in the Waipi'o Valley and going to visit the Volcano. We spent evenings in the pool watching the sun set and then made dinner and once again, went out poolside to enjoy our meal as the last vestiges of daylight disappeared. There is a very good grill right near the pool and a fully stocked kitchen (other than food, of course). We were able to find everything we needed to cook even the most elaborate of meals. There is even a wine fridge. All in all, this place deserves 5 stars. The home owner's guide to food, beaches, shopping and other activities was an endless supply of good information though we could add a few of our own, including Luna's Cafe in the Waipi'o Valley and Big Island Divers for the night Manta ray dive (a once in a lifetime experience for the intrepid diver or snorkeler) and Paradise Helicopter for an open door ride over the active volcano. We are sad to be home but so glad we rented this home on the island of Hawaii. Date of arrival March 26, 2016

The home is near City of Refuge, Punalu'u Bakery, South Point, Pu'uhonua O' Honaunau, The Coffee Belt, and is on the way to Volcanoes National Park. You’ll love my place because of the comfy beds, the high ceilings, the views, the Pool, the well stocked kitchen. My place is good for families (with kids) and big groups. It is over 2300 square feet on a one acre property with expansive ocean views from almost every room. The main house is 3 bedrooms with a cupola/loft, and the optional downstairs suite is 1 bedroom 1 bath. The home is decorated with a tropical flare and your comfort in mind. The optional downstairs one bedroom suite has over 580 square feet for larger groups (only rented with main home, we do not rent it by itself) The home is located- 43 miles (1 hour 15 minutes) from the Kona Airport 35 miles (1 hour) to Kailua-Kona 63 miles (1 hour, 20 minutes) to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park 3 miles and a 20 hike to the nearest beach Honomalino 25 miles (35 minutes) to Ho'Okena Beach Park (drive up beach) 2 miles to shoreline (no beach at the shore line) 91 miles to Hilo (1 hour 57 minutes) 14 miles (19 minutes) to the nearest store in Oceanview 40 miles (1 hours 10 minutes) to Costco We chose a one acre parcel in Milolii because of the arid, warm, sunny climate. This well appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo has a California King bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom and a comfortable full size pull-out sofabed in the living room. Brand new stainless dishwasher is installed (as all new stainless steel appliances). The condo has a flat screen TV, cable, wireless internet, and washer and dryer. The quiet lanai has seating for 6 and is planted with tropical palms including banana palms. Living room also has a wonderful hawaiian style chair in addition to the super comfy sofa. Again, the location of this complex can't be beat - across the street from a sandy beach and on the south edge of downtown Kailua-Kona on Alii Drive.
