Rio Negro Accommodations
Accommodations are plentiful in Rio Negro, Argentina! The province of Rio Negro is in the northern Patagonia region of Argentina. The name literally translates into Black River, stemming from the most important river in the country which flows through the province. The capital of Rio Negro is Viedma, while other interesting cities to visit include Bariloche, General Roca and Cipolletti. The Rio Negro river is the main water source for the whole region, as well as a source for hydroelectricity from the small dams along the river. And as a result of the irrigation provided from the river, nearly two-thirds of the apples and pears of Argentina are produced here. The climate in Rio Negro is temperate, with some snowfall near the coast and much more in the more mountainous regions of the west. Summers can also range from being fairly temperate to quite hot. On the other side, the Atlantic Coast, there are stunning cliffs stemming from the beaches, which have eroded into deep caves to explore. The green water beaches attract many visitors for swimming and other water sports.
