For golfers, St. Simons Island is home to the King & Prince Golf Course and Sea Palms Golf & Tennis Resort. Where to Eat & Drink - If you’re not preparing home-cooked meals or having a BBQ party using the grill, drop by the eateries to gorge on seafood, like freshly shucked oysters and the infamous Wild Georgia Shrimp. Some of the favorites among locals and visitors for local flavors and drinks are ECHO Oceanfront Restaurant, Mellow Mushroom, Sal’s Neighborhood Pizzeria, Southern Soul BBQ, and Zuzu’s.
How to Get Here & Getting Around - You can fly in via the Malcolm McKinnon Airport, Brunswick Golden Isles Airport, Savannah/Hilton Head International, and Jacksonville International. By road, the only access is the F.J. Torras Causeway. Walking is an excellent way to get around, but bike paths line almost every street too.
When to Go - The best time to visit is during spring or fall, especially if you want to avoid the crowds during peak season, which is summer.
