There are car rental agencies in the airport and in San Jose del Cabo. Public transportation or local buses run between the two cities with service every 20-30 minutes. Buses stop at most attractions and beaches along Highway 1.

If you plan on fishing, book your trip for August through November, as this is the prime season for sport. If you’re traveling with young children or want to avoid the crowds, steer away from the peak season which runs from December until Easter, and includes a number of Spring Break weeks.
