INSIDE THE HOUSE
From the peaceful street, pull into the gravel driveway with room for 2 to 3 cars. Make your way up the gravel path to the front porch, noticing the nicely landscaped and private front yard.
Enter the home into the living room, where large picture windows let in lots of natural light. After a long day exploring, put your feet up on the comfy couch or love seat, flipping through the channels on the 35” flat-screen TV. The armoire also houses numerous board and card games for a fun night in.
Just beyond the living room you’ll find a 4-person dining table. White and bright, the kitchen is stocked with full-size appliances including a stove/oven, dishwasher and microwave and extras like blender, toaster and coffee maker. No need to over pack; the closet in the kitchen houses a washer and dryer so you can stay caught up on the laundry.
Down the main hallway, the 3rd bedroom is on your left and has a full bed, chair and closet for extra storage. Across the way, the guest bath comes with single sink vanity, toilet, shower/tub combo and privacy window.
The 2nd bedroom has two twin beds and large window overlooking the front yard. The large closet houses beach gear like umbrellas, chairs and coolers for guests to use.
Blue and green paisley bedding covers the master bedroom’s comfy queen bed. Fall asleep watching your favorite shows on the 35” flat-screen TV or curl up with a good book in the corner reading chair. Sliding glass doors lead out to the pretty backyard and let in tons of natural light.
The master en-suite bath offers a pedestal sink, shower/tub combo and extra storage.
Get out and enjoy the warm Florida weather on the back deck, relaxing amidst the tropical landscaping. A patio table seats 4 for dining al fresco and a paved path leads to a small shed with a large charcoal grill.
Make the short 4-minute walk to Billy’s Bike Rentals and pick out a set of wheels to explore the island. Use your bike to easily and quickly reach the public beach (5 minutes), just past the Sanibel Island Beach Resort at the end of Donax Street.
When the cook needs the night off, dine on fresh seafood at the Sanibel Fish House (3 minutes on foot) or grab a quick bite at Sweet Melissa’s Cafe (6 minutes on foot). Find just the right souvenir to remember your time in Sanibel Island at one of several shops like the T-Shirt Hut, Island Gifts and Hollie’s Boutique.
Full of beautiful wildlife and natural landscaping, the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge (20 minutes) is a must-see when on Sanibel Island. You could spend a whole day watching dancing Roseate Spoonbills in the shallow waters and alligators slither through the swampy parts. Rent bikes or kayaks and get up-close-and-personal with the animals.
