The County of Shropshire is situated on the England/Wales borderlands, one of England's rural peaceful counties, a delightful place to unwind, and enjoy captivating apartment rentals, condo rentals and villa rentals brimming with heritage and nature. Whether you are seeking peaceful woodland walks, the romance of steam or the gentle calm of rippling waters, let vacation rental accommodations in Shropshire lead you off the beaten track to discover the quiet valleys, hidden hamlets and mysterious hills of this beautiful county.

This little known corner of England may be one of the last remaining rural idylls, unspoilt, unrushed and tranquil vacation rentals destination but it was here that the world took much of its inspiration. Charles Darwin developed his inquisitive mind here in his home town of Shrewsbury and even the modern Olympics drew their very creation not from Athens but from the little market town of Much Wenlock.

Shropshire has over ninety places to visit, from Offa's Dyke, the longest archaeological monument in Britain, built by King Offa in the 8th Century to keep the Welsh Princes at bay, to historic houses and castles with beautiful gardens, and the famous Ironbridge Gorge Museums designated as World Heritage Sites. Minutes from charming apartment rental, condo rental and villa rental accommodation you can enjoy miles of unspoiled tranquil countryside, with thirty nature reserves to discover and many family attractions.

Vacation rental accommodations and lodging in Shropshire offer a myriad of local activities. Here you will find vibrant, independent shops and a calendar full of events and festivals embracing and celebrating music, food, culture, flowers and even cartoons to name a few. Shopping can also be a cultural experience with its art galleries and craft shops where local talent show their wares. Shropshire is bursting with local produce and real ales and there are plenty of great pubs and eateries in walking distance of eclectic apartment rental, condo rental and villa rental accommodation.

Whether you're out and about on Shropshire Hills, by the Meres and Mosses or strolling along with the Shropshire Union and Llangollen Canals, the Shropshire air will rejuvenate and restore you when staying in vacation rentals. Shropshire offers handsome apartment rentals, cosy condo rentals and comfortable villa rentals served up with genuine warmth and hospitality that encourages friends to return.

We are quite fussy individuals, and expect high standards when we have holidays so have kept that in mind and have applied this to the cottages. This has gained us 5 Star Gold Visit England award. Since becoming holiday let owners we have been overwhelmed by the lovely people we have let our properties to. We’ve really enjoy meeting and sharing our property and surroundings with other people who can appreciate it as much as we do. By day we are both working professionals, who arrive back home to our tranquility where we find solace in the garden; she with the flowers and borders, and he with his ride on lawn mower. • Beautifully Presented

    London: House
    3 BDR • 1 BA • Sleeps 5 • #25158
    160 to 160 GBP/night
In the words of a former guest; This was our first visit to London, and we were looking for a comfortable and economical place to stay with our two adult children. Communication with the owner was excellent, and she did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The home is neat, clean, comfortable for four adults in need of three bedrooms, and in a quiet Harrow neighborhood northwest of central London. The owner's sister-in-law, met us at the home and drove us around the neighborhood to show us where to find things. We arrived following a red-eye flight, and found that she had already procured items for our breakfast...A very nice touch. The owner stayed in contact with us during our stay to make sure everything met our needs. The home is equipped with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, wireless Internet access (critical for our children), television, and very comfortable beds. There was no night noise issue, and we never felt unsafe in the neighborhood. There is, however, a fast train to north central London which allowed us to quickly access all the sights (15 minute trip). The train station is about a mile away and can readily be accessed by walking or by buses from stops about 1/4 mile away. If you are seeking a cost-effective abode for a London visit and don't mind having to do a little traveling to get to the sites, this home provides an excellent option. Excellent option.
