How to Get Here & Getting Around - Being close to Vernon, the nearest airport is Kelowna International Airport. If you’re after a road trip, Silver Star is just a few hours from Vancouver and Calgary. There’s a shuttle bus within the resort but most of the vacation rentals are within walking distance from everything!

When to Go - When the snow falls between November and April, the whole place becomes a playground for powderhounds. In the off-season, Silver Star continues to draw crowds hosting stellar trails to hike and bike. The resort delivers a rush of adrenaline year-round.

I was there for 4 nights and am super happy that I chose this spot ~ the only challenge was in getting my pass on the first day in that the condo is a bit of a hike to the village and driving is not an option because you have to have a reservation for parking. A fully appointed kitchen has all new full-size stainless steel appliances. The cozy living area includes a large screen 3D HDTV, with a surround sound system and wifi. You can enjoy movie nights in, relaxing in your oversized heated recliner. In keeping with the winter sports theme, please enjoy the decor of hockey collectibles. Your bedroom has a queen bed, with cozy goose down duvet/pillows. It has a generous dresser to allow you to unpack comfortably, and a large clothes hanging closet. The single sink bathroom has an oversized shower with a seat. We supply ample linens, soap and shampoo…toilet paper too, of course. Out the back door you will have a secure ski locker to house all of your winter play gear. The inside foyer has ample room to hang your wet clothes to dry, in preparation for your next day of fun. We prefer that skis NOT be inside the house, so unfortunately we do not have a waxing area. There is a set up in the village at the end of the path. As the owners of both units, we live upstairs. And as such, we maintain the driveway clear of snow at every snowfall We are a quiet adult family who also enjoy the outdoors. Two fully equipped kitchens make for easy catering, with 2 dining areas seating 10 and 6 people respectively. A total of four bathrooms ensure there are no long queues at busy times of day. Entertainment is provided via 3 flat screen, HDMI enabled TVs, a Blu Ray player and 2 DVD players. Free wi-fi is also on offer. We also have a selection of board games and books. Heated floors add a touch of comfort after a long day on the mountain and all rooms have individual thermostats. Fancy a dip in the private hot tub. It is conveniently located on the covered deck, 2 steps from the kitchen door, so you never need to clear away the snow. The deck also has a high end, large gas barbeque.     Our property is a spectacularly located and wonderfully comfortable 4-bed 4-bath home located right on the skiway halfway between the summits of Silver Queen and Silver Woods chairs. Our home is the trailside half of the duplex in our photos. Easy ski in/out access even with small children. Apres ski, you can be in the large hot tub a minute after gliding home. This is an amazing location, 5 minutes walk or a 1 minute gentle ski to the village, with frequent complimentary resort shuttle if needed. Nobody leaves Twin Peaks disappointed. You can see a large number of positive reviews also on our listing on VRBO. Silver Star's "My OnePass" includes great activities in addition to downhill skiing. The top of tube town is an easy 5 minute walk away, and the skating pond is a quick slide downhill from there, and both are free with your ski pass. Included in your pass is immediate access from our home to 55 km of world-class trackset nordic skiing at Silver Star accessible from the skiway at the door of the home. A dual area nordic pass expands the possibilities to include another 50 km of trails at the adjacent linked Sovereign Lakes nordic area. Summer here is amazing too. Downhill and cross country biking is literally out the door, and the lakes of the Okanagan Valley are 30 minutes away. Relax in cool mountain comfort after your day of summer fun. Ample ski storage is available at the house, and the outside storage shed is stocked with sleds for use just outside our door. There is also a nicely forested backyard a few steps off the hot tub deck for the young ones to explore. Inside is stocked with many books and games, and is equipped with cable TV and high speed internet. The living and dining space features a large dining table plus bar stools, and comfortable attractive living room seating. The kitchen is equipped with modern stainless appliances and granite counters, and is fully stocked for simple meals or gourmet enterprises. There is a large outdoor gas barbecue for guest use. The ground level includes a second fridge, and offers a lot of floorspace for families to spread themselves throughout the home. Full laundry facilities are on the ground level. There are two gas fireplaces, one the ground and one on the main level. There are two large water heaters to accommodate large groups in comfort. Parking is available for two vehicles. Extra cars can usually be accommodated on the hill. We have been skiing Silver Star since 1994, and we are thrilled to have taken ownership of this property in 2018. Dive Fish Snow Travel: An Intimate Pedestrian Village
Silver Star is a great place for individuals, couples or families, offering a full range of slopes and accommodation to cater for everyone's needs. Silver Star offers 2,500 vertical feet of groomed snow fields, a mild winter climate and a bounty of snow, approximately 570 cm per season. The longest runs are over 8 kms, which gives you an idea of the size of this resort. There are uncrowded chairlifts and 2725 acres, especially for 'off piste' adventure skiing.
