Parking in the old town of Albufeira is very limited. Most are available only for residents with permits. The nearest available free parking on the street is 20 meters away, but this is not guaranteed to be available. Other free parking on the street may be available 100 - 200 meters away. Larger off-street parking areas are 300 – 400 meters away. These are also free but have no security. Airport drop-offs and pickups These are possible almost to the door in cars and small vans. Large vehicles (e.G. Shuttle coaches or buses) cannot stop closer than 250 meters away. We can arrange airport pickup and return if you wish. Restaurants, bars, and shops The apartment is adjacent to two small restaurants and just 30 seconds walk to many more restaurants, cafés, and small bars. The noisy bars and clubs are further away, but more than five minutes walk. Although some noise at night is inevitable, you won't be too disturbed by loud music. There are a small supermarket 50 meters from the front door. A SPAR supermarket is about five minutes walk. Larger stores, including ALDI and LIDL, are 1 to 1.5km away. All supermarkets here are open all day. Every day, Sundays, and Holidays included EXCEPT December 25th and January 1st (all closed). On December 24th almost all restaurants, bars, and shops close early in the evening. Beach Albufeira's wide and sandy beach is two minutes walk from the front door. Banks/Cash Machines A cash machine (ATM) is 30 meters from the front door and several others in the main town square, 100 meters away. Advice - do NOT USE Euronet ATMs with a £ sterling card.
